BOOK REVIEW by Michelle :
When you mix an undercover forensic accountant with a man that was built for speed, you get a very smexi read.
Chloe Jordan and Trent Hollings collide with each other after a SUV nearly hits her. Several shots of whiskey later to calm the nerves and .......* waggles eyebrows*
People you have to stay away from the whiskey!
I really liked this story. Who knew accountants could be so naughty?
Trent is a ‘surfer bum’ or is he? He scrubs up rather nice in a suit and he scrubs up rather nice without his suit and he can surf. He is also a bit of a phenomenon, but I will let you find out for yourself. If you are thinking of having him over to dinner you may want to make a little extra, the boy can burn calories.
Chloe is hiding behind her past and protecting her feelings and that all shatters when Trent becomes her stalker out to keep her safe.
This is turning out to be harder than one would think. Chloe is working for Paradeo, and trying to uncover a money laundering scheme. But what really is going on?
I did pick some things in the plot as I think when you only have so many usual suspects to choose from, your brain is going to figure things out. I would have liked some more suspects for me to bobble about in my brain, theorising over.....Or am I too much of a nerd and like to work things out too much....nerd alert!
I love Trent, he is my book boyfriend for today or until I find myself another Harlequin romance suspense book boyfriend who takes his title away from him. He is just a smexi unit who has some pretty interesting things going on in his past and daily life.
I am looking forward to Deadly Sight the next book in this series and more of Winston Ops and the people involved with it. It is all a bit cloak and dagger and units coming to the rescue, which to me equates to either more Trent, or somebody to take his book boyfriend title away from himJ
Happy DaysJ

Sometimes I go back and read these Harlequin books, reminds me of my teen years when my mom knows better and lets me read these novels. In her mind I'm being a diligent kid improving my vocabulary LOL
ReplyDeleteThis is quite right. Improving vocabulary is very important:D
