BOOK COVER REVEAL - KEEPING THYME by TJ HAMILTON - THYME TRILOGY # 3 - ADULT CRIME SUSPENSE ROMANCE

I really enjoy TJ's , Thyme Trilogy. I am looking forward to seeing how she winds this trilogy up because a whole pile of shiz went down in Making Thyme # 2. It left me with grabby, grabby hands for Keeping Thyme. Those of you who have read this series to date will understand what I am referring to.

O.M.G.

I love the blurb along the bottom of this cover. It is very, very fitting and the blood red lips that are smokin'.

For mature aged readers. Throw this trilogy onto your TBR piles.

BLOG TOUR - YOU CAN CALL ME MIRANDA by TJ HAMILTON - COMPANION NOVELLA - THYME TRILOGY

By: TJ Hamilton
Published By: TJ Hamilton
Released : Available Now
Details: Kindle for honest review, 152 Pages

RATING: 4.25 THIS IS HER STORY STARS!

Blurb: Goodreads

I was born to dance. I may have even become the best ballerina this country has ever seen. But when you have no one to guide you as a young person, you become very lost. I craved love and attention, and I found it in men.

I’ve always had a certain allure that draws men to me. I worked that out at a very young age. At first it was fun teasing them, then a thrill … then it was just easy. Men were just too easy.

I loved the way they looked at me when I danced for them, the way they stared at my body. I danced for men who paid to watch. Then he found me. I was the next desperate girl, ripe for the picking. If only I knew what I was being picked for.

This is my story. This is how I lost the girl I once was. Now, you can call me Miranda.

BOOK REVIEW by Michelle:

You Can Call Me Miranda is a poignant look at how a young girl with hopes and dreams can have those dreams shattered in a heart beat and be left with a totally different career path.

It will lead her to a dangerous future and the men she will meet along the way in Thyme Trilogy.

I really enjoyed seeing what moments, no matter how shattering, in Mia the ballerina’s life, that started the process of changing her into Miranda the chick we know from Buying Thyme and Making Thyme.

Mia is a teenager who needs support, like any teenager. The people who should have been there for Mia... weren’t.

I cry for my father who left me. I cry for the mother, who chose to leave me, and I cry for having nothing of me left.

I really liked George. He showed me a kind man who cared.

“Aye, aye ... What’s ‘is all about, then?” He kneels down in front of me.

“My whole life is in ruins. I have nowhere to go. I have no family, and I have no money. I don’t know what to do.”I put my head back into my knees again and sob.

“Ere, come on now. Let’s get you inside, then. It’s not all that bad. We’ll sort you out, okay?”

This companion novella isn’t about sex and the dangerous world of Miranda in Thyme Trilogy. This is a short book showing us how Mia’s dreams, like so many in this world can be broken and sometimes there is only one option that looks good at the time to pursue.

It changes people.

I smile and bat my lashes. “You can call me Miranda.”

Innocence is lost.

“You’re very innocent Miranda,” he whispers.

“Sorry,” I answer slowly.

“Don’t be. I like it,” he says, as he runs his thumb along my bottom lip.

He grips tight onto my hand and leads me toward the sparkling hotel entrance.

I totally recommend reading the Thyme Trilogy and this companion novella. I did wonder why Miranda chose the path she did and when you meet Mia, your heart can break for the brilliance her ballet career could have been, but was taken away from her.

Her quest to find the truth about her friend may continue to lead her further into the dark life of crime boss Joe Tench. While at the same time, his obsession for her is developing into something sinister. Can she discover what evil he is orchestrating in time before he discovers the truth about her?

BOOK REVIEW by Michelle:

After finishing Buying Thyme by TJ Hamilton, I knew I was going to like her storytelling. Her writing is solid. I was eager to read Making Thyme.

TJ merges the high-class escort world with being a special agent very well.

Mia has agreed to be trained by the OCT-U, Organized Crime Taskforce Unit under Agent Nick Davis. Her mentor. The man she is having feelings for.

Crime boss Joe Tench is under surveillance and Mia aka Miranda is the Agency’s way in, to get the information they need to put him away for good.

I really enjoyed Mia’s training and discovering along with Mia what she is capable of. TJ spends time getting us to go through the training motions with Mia, convincing us of her capability.

TJ is an ex police officer herself so she brings her knowledge to the pages. We watch Miranda the ex high-class escort become more.

Much more.

We almost forget her past.

Miranda is left behind and Mia shows us she won’t be bound by the Agency’s rules. She is proving to them how able she is to look after herself. She can only really trust herself. It’s what works best for her.

She won’t be caged and watched.

Nick wants Mia.

“You don’t have to be Miranda with me.” He slowly pulls me back up to his lips.

“I’m going to make love to you Mia... I’m going to show you how people love each other. It’s going to be slow and it’s going to be all night... I’ve wanted to do this to you for a long time. No fast fuck. Just you and me... how it’s supposed to be.” Nick utters every word I’ve only ever imagined anyone ever saying to me.

But he is also Agent Davis.

Nick shows us what he is made of and how far he is willing to go to get to Tench.

To bring him down.

There are some fave scenes of mine in Making Thyme. Visually they were well written. I loved the use of the Opera House it brought quite a magical moment to a fave scene of mine.

TJ writes about Australia and it’s landmarks but she doesn’t give us the vegemite slathered slang.

This I enjoyed.

Charlie is a great character, he lights up the page when he is on it. I would go on a date with Charlie. He knows how to take a girl out for the evening.

Good guy.

Joe Tench is the bad guy and I have to keep reminding myself what depths he will go to.

TJ also showed me that vulnerable side to Joe.

Joe is hurting.

But, Joe also knows how to seek his own justice out and you don’t want to be on the end of bad Joe because bad Joe is a brutal killer.

Tench brings out the darker side in Agent Thyme. She can’t help herself. She is Mia the agent going in and it doesn’t take long for Miranda to appear.

Can Agent Thyme be let loose in Joe Tench’s world again without Miranda taking over?

Will her dark desires take over?

Fuck you Joe Tench! I hate you...and now you’re acting all amazing on me! I slam my head back against the sun lounge with more sexual frustration than I care to have right now.

Is she strong enough to fight her darker side and get the job done?

Why do you have to be so bad Joe Tench?

In Buying Thyme we meet Miranda. In Making Thyme we meet Mia. Who will be the more dominant character in Keeping Thyme?

After finishing Making Thyme I am literally tearing my hair out for Keeping Thyme. Anybody who has read Making Thyme will understand what I am talking about.

O.M.G.

I was left staring at my page.

I reread the page.

I stared at the page.

What the hell just happened?

I’ve got to say TJ packs a punch and she will have you doubling over trying to catch your breath.

Bring. On . Keeping Thyme.

I look forward to many more stories from TJ in the future, she believes in researching her topics and it shows in her plotting. She is an author to watch out for.

Definitely.

In the meantime, You Can Call Me Miranda the companion novella is due for release in January 2014.

Stay tuned...

BOOK SIGNING - TJ HAMILTON - THYME TRILOGY - SELF PUBLISHED - ADULT CRIME ROMANCE SUSPENSE

On The 14th December 2013 I ventured up North to TJ Hamilton's book signing in Hervey Bay for her Thyme Trilogy.

A most awesome day.

I also met up with Jodie Obrien from Fab Fun And Tantalizing Reads. It was lovely catching up face to face with the girls and we did manage to bring books into the conversation.

Shocking, I know!

We made a bit of a day of it with our families in tow and followed the signing at Mary Ryan's book store with a scrumptious lunch at Coast, on the esplanade. I can understand why this restaurant has won awards.

Beautiful food.

TJ's hubby was unable to attend but he made an appearance via a very nice bottle of Vintage 2008 champagne. He had us girls going 'awwwwwwwwwww.'

Clinkies as we stare into each others eyes. LOL!

My husband was enjoying chatting with TJ's little baby as she drew a Picasso drawing and the food just kept coming. Very communal. You share it all. I was in food heaven. There was a lot of technology down one end of the table with all our kids. They were very quiet.

A most awesome day had by myself. I got myself some signed books. If you haven't picked up TJ's Thyme Trilogy yet, I highly recommend it. I thought book # 2, Making Thyme especially was a very 3D experience. I will say no more.

Keeping Thyme # 3 is releasing in 2014 and the companion novella will be releasing in 2014 titled - You Can Call Me Miranda.

My review for Buying Thyme # 1 is HERE for mature aged readers. TJ puts a lot of research into her writing and it shows. This is an author to look out for.

The kids went back for a swim afterwards at Jodie's resort she was staying overnight at which was nice and relaxing. Couple more drinkies later and I was ready for a nanna nap, lol!

A wonderful day , thanks girls got to do it again sometime.

xxxx

TJ will be appearing at the Indie Author Gold Coast event.
 22nd March 2014
Tickets are only $ 10.00 each.
I shall be there and Jodie is one of the organizers of the event.

I love this cover as it is showing the strong woman that Miranda is. I love the blood red font used and it is like ribbons , graceful like a ballet dancer the swirl of the writing. It is almost dancing her name.

BOOK REVIEW by Michelle:

I got to say I am very excited to read Making Thyme, Thyme Trilogy # 2 because of how TJ spent the last third of this book.

I really enjoyed TJ’s debut novel , Buying Thyme. I am going to be honest and say it was coming along nicely, but the latter third of the book turned up several notches.

I wanted to keep reading.

I was like, noooOOOOOoooo it can't end now!!!

I have not read a book where the main character is a high-class escort, a prostitute, before. I thought it was a different read for me and the world of being a high-class escort.

We shall call our main female lead, Miranda. TJ lets us into her world of pleasuring her John’s and I learnt a thing or two.

* waggles eyebrows *

Joe Tench is an interesting character.

A dangerous character.

Can we trust him?

Tom Smythe is a character I really like. He wants companionship and I enjoyed spending time with Miranda and him. Tom will have you wondering. You will be curious. He buys her for a night but wants nothing from her but dinner and the real Miranda, not the escort.

Or as much of herself as she is willing to reveal.

Joe and Tom are almost complete opposites in personality. Where one is demanding, dangerous and obsessive, the other is laid back and wants nothing but companionship.

The smexi is steamy but it is different reading it when you know it is a job being performed and paid for. It put a different spin on it in my mind.

Miranda was there to perform for her client. I enjoyed listening to her inner monologue as she reminded us that she was there to do a job and do it well.

But when does performing start to get mixed up with emotions and feelings?

When does a platonic friendship begin to feel like you want more?

My body struggles to maintain a moderate temperature. “Please. Understand. Once again ... I don’t want anything from you. I need to take this slow. I enjoy you. More than I should admit right now... but I do. So let’s just enjoy some wine and each other’s company for the rest of the night hey?” Tom’s voice is like velvet and tugs at my lower regions.

I loved being introduced to another member of Miranda’s family and I’m not talking about Flossy the cat.

Charlie is a fun character. He is like the side kick to Miranda. He is her gay man.

I liked Toni, Joe's security man. I felt like he really cared about the man. It wasn't just a well paid job. He had a humorous side and he seemed to be able to talk freely in front of Joe. Have an opinion.

Mrs Oktar is one of those characters that you find in books like Fifty Shades of Grey. There is a connection between them and the male lead that you are always wondering how a lady like that got a job in a place like she did, working for a man like Joe Tench. They are these warm , caring women, almost motherly.

The more you read the more the story starts taking a direction of danger and murder and mystery. From how this book started, to how it finished was quite different.

There are a couple of nice twists that I didn’t see coming which I enjoyed as I love being blindsided.

I totally dig the cover art. Not sure if it is me seeing this in the cover, but the crossed legs look like an arty version of the Opera House. Like the sails...or not.

I am rather bouncy to read Making Thyme because of what went on in the latter part of this book.

Shiz just got real intriguing.

* raises one eyebrow *

TJ HAMILTON - GIVEAWAYS - THYME TRILOGY - 10 THINGS IN TEN MINUTES - * whispers * DAVID GANDY - ROMANCE - MYSTERY - SUSPENSE - SELF PUBLISHED - AUSSIE AUTHOR ROAD TRIP - DAY 19

Day 19: I am zooming over to TJ Hamilton. She is a very interesting person. Check out her 6 Quick Things and her Ten Things in Ten Minutes. You may find out something... * whispers * David Gandy.

Throw her Thyme trilogy onto your TBR piles. I am reading Buying Thyme and Making Thyme shortly. Love the titles.

Welcome TJ.

Author Bio

TJ Hamilton is a former New South Wales Police Officer who worked in various areas of policing around inner city Sydney. She also holds a degree in Criminology through Griffith University. Her love of crime and mystery started at an early age after she read her first Agatha Christie novel at the age of nine. Her fascination with the darker side of life came from living with a high-class escort when she first moved to Sydney in her early twenties. She developed a close understanding of these ‘ladies of the night’ over the years and loved the stories they told, most of whom she has still remained friends with to this day. TJ writes about her first love, the city of Sydney, and the wonderful places around this fabulous location. Her attachment to fashion is also present within her stories, thanks to her handsome Husband and his successful international modelling career. Writing came after leaving the Police Force when she was pregnant with her daughter, she sat down one day and started typing and has not stopped since. Nowadays TJ lives a quiet life in the tropics as a devoted mother and wife who loves her kitty-cats, far from the gun-slinging and criminal-catching days of the past. The action packed life she may have once had is now relived through her sexy fictional stories of mystery and intrigue.

Who is your book girlfriend?

Author that inspired you and why?

EL James was my reason to publish my stories. She has opened up a world that has now empowered women to read stories that are left of field.

I totally hear ya! EL did that to me. I can read quite left of field these days. * waggles eyebrows *
