Jennifer has written a small book that packs a punch. The Proposition felt like a full length novel.
Jennifer doesn’t waste her words.
Kat has her own demons she is fighting in the form of her own parents and her ex fiancé, David. Her painful limp is a result of her relationship with David, only she has no recollection of the event that put her in hospital, in such a damaged state.
She turned back to the cab interior. “I need to get in.”
“That’s usually how it is done,” Sloane assured her.
“People do it all the time.”
“Right.” She frowned. “I thought you went home hours ago.”
Ah, there she was, coming back online. “I rarely do the expected.”
She sucked in her lips and blew out a breath. “I bet you could get in the back of a damn cab.”
He leaned against the side of the idling cab. “I don’t know why I would. I have two cars, plus a limo. Getting in a cab seems redundant.”
Dr David can come across as a bit creepy and you will find yourself drooling over the dead smexi Alpha male, Sloane, ex UFC fighter, self made gajillionaire.
Sloane Michaels has a slew of 60 plus SLAM Gyms, yet, what I found refreshing was I kind of forgot he was a billionaire. He did not wear the badge like other billionaires we read in books. Sure he has the limo, but he didn’t carry around security and act all billionairey.
He is his own security. The guy is a fighting machine, who knows how to control himself and has earned a living outside of the fight.
She looked up at him. “You’re blunt, aren’t you?”
Pleased that she hadn’t snapped at him to let go of her, he steered her towards his car. “In most cases, bluntness works.”
“And in other cases?”
Opening the door , he waited until she slid in and said, “I do whatever it takes to win.”
There is a lot more to Mr Sloane, apart from the near to 7ft of man mountain than 6ft of man mountain. The dude is ALPHA served up on a silver platter for us all to drool over.
Grab your bibs , you will need them when you get through his proposition he has for Kat, his new plus one.
I think we will all be waving our arms in the air shouting, ‘YES PLEASE.’

She sucked in a breath. “you just said you don’t date.”
“I don’t .” He took a sip of his coffee. “I plus-one.”
She was familiar with the concept of plus-one, but not his context. “That differs from dating how?”
“I’m busy. I don’t have time for complicated relationships and expectations.” His voice was pure business, then downshifted into a husky note. “But I like sex.”
“Huh, who would have guessed?” He oozed sex and danger like other men sweat.
“But I do have a lot of social obligations. It’s simpler to find a woman I have chemistry with and make her an offer. She’ll attend functions with me as needed. In return, I’ll give her something she wants. And we have sex.”
He sat up and regarded her for long seconds. “Don’t mistake who I am, Kat. I want you, and while we’re together, I will focus on both our sexual pleasure with the same intensity that I focus on success. But it’s temporary and only when convenient. I don’t want any misunderstandings.”
I think Sloane is going to find it harder to stick to his strict rules of what a plus-one entales.
“You’re just full of surprises, baker girl. You are so damn hot.” He closed his eyes his throat working a long swallow. Recovering, he said, “You’re going to test my limits of self-control.”
Catching her hand, he linked their fingers and pulled her closer. “ I don’t like you building walls between us. It makes me determined to kick them down.”
Lordy the Alpha things that come out of this lads mouth. I have all these quotes, and I was like...nah....I can't quote that, lol *blushes*
Jennifer will capture you within the first few pages , the excitement and the * fan one self* moments will leave you wanting more.

I read this in one sitting. It is not a long read, but it is a very satisfying read even though you don’t have a finish at the end of this book. It is more of a grab the next book to continue, if that makes sense.
