BOOK REVIEW by Michelle:

A chance job application leads Sophie to Lucien and this crossing of paths will change Sophie, forever.

A sexual journey Sophie will never forget.

A man she finds hard to forget.

In Knight and Stay Sophie has become a more determined woman. She needs to sort herself out, a cheating husband on one hand and a man that has changed her life on many levels, on the other hand.

The only thing is Lucien needs to cut himself off from Sophie. He does not need this distraction in his life.

But can he?

Love = pain

Love = being let down

Love = heartache

Lucien doesn’t need that on his resume. He is doing perfectly fine as he is, enjoying the pleasures of life that he has earned and the lifestyle he loves to be a part of.

Sophie was a distraction he enjoyed, but now he is feeling things he doesn’t understand or want to feel.

Sophie isn’t going to let Lucien off the hook that easily.

What I love about this series, Kitty doesn’t conform to the gazillionaire recipe that a lot of authors use.

Kitty doesn’t need to throw in the bitch that puts a jealous streak into the story and smirks back at you from the pages hell bent on causing trouble.

Kitty doesn’t need to add that angst.

Lucien and Sophie can run the show.

She doesn’t need to add the abusive parent or relative from the past that led to the male lead being involved in the type of sex life he enjoys.

Lucien simply enjoys it.

He wasn’t driven to it by a harsh childhood. He did have a difficult childhood but it wasn’t the catalyst for his lifestyle. A lot of people have upsetting childhoods, doesn’t mean they turn to a sexual lifestyle that craves pain and sometimes darkness.

Lucien isn’t out to physically release his pain using a paddle.

Lucien is one of the quiet gazillionaire’s. He doesn’t have security following his every move. I didn’t see one security person dogging him.

He doesn’t have some villain out for payback stalking him.

Lucien is simply Lucien and he wears it very well.

Lucien is a very seductive character.

There is an art to writing a great sex scene. In Knight and Play, Kitty paints visually explosive sex scenes. She is like a modern day Leonardo da Vinci of sex scene writing. They are creative and colourful and memorable.

Kitty brought it again in Knight and Stay.

Holy Champagne!!

Even when it comes to writing this trilogy, Kitty doesn’t conform. I just assumed Knight and Day was a continuation of Lucien and Sophie’s story.

It is not.

It is best friend Kara and a man in her life.

I could quite easily have read another book with Lucien and Sophie but that is not to be. The epilogue in this one gets us up to speed.

I actually would love a novella on Lucien and Sophie, pre-epilogue. I really wanted to read this.

Kitty had opportunities to drag out angst and emotional pain in Knight and Stay, but she didn’t.

This I really loved.

Sometimes there is a thing as overuse of angst , which can leave me wanting to throw a book out the window.

Kitty doesn’t need to do that.

Lucien and Sophie can run the show and entertain me without angst, angst, angst.

I don’t think there is even any action in Knight and Play and Knight and Stay.

Well there is action, * waggles eyebrows * but not action.

It is all about watching two people come together... that wasn’t meant to be a pun, who appear so different at the start, but have a common goal that they don’t yet realize.

They just want to be happy and loved.

Lucien finds it harder to reach that goal. He has everything else he could possibly need in his life. He doesn’t think he needs a partner to share it with, a monogamous relationship that he can grow old with.

Kitty can be sexually sinful without needing coloured rooms and horsetail whips in her writing. Don't get me wrong, the lad owns many Adult shops and clubs and likes his toys, but ...

Her secret weapon is Lucien.

Kitty’s books are 200 plus pages. She packs an entertaining read into them without riddling story line with angst to lengthen the number of pages. No need for super bitches, or overuse of bad parenting, love triangles, villains out to kill or kidnap or security detail needed because the guy is so powerfully known.

Lucien is all things gazillionaire, but without being a target.

His target is Sophie.

I highly recommend this trilogy for mature aged readers. Lucien is a very memorable character.

There's only one thing in life Lucien Knight really hates, and that's husbands who cheat on their wives.

There's only one problem in Sophie Black's life. Her cheating husband...

From the moment Lucien & Sophie meet, the seal is set.

Romantic, emotional & intensely erotic, Knight and Play is the perfect read for lovers of international bestsellers Fifty Shades & Bared To You. Let yourself be swept away by Part One of the Knight series from Kitty French, a romance so hot it'll burn your fingers...

CEO of Knight Inc. Lucien Knight is catch-your-breath gorgeous and damaged by his troubled past in Norway. All grown up and relocated to London, he's built his empire of adult clubs from the ground up to become the gorgeous patron saint of the sex industry. No one knows the dark childhood secrets that have given Lucien a backbone of steel and a heart encased in ice. No one until Sophie Black, that is...

From the moment girl-next-door Sophie accepts the job as Lucien Knight's PA, she understands how Alice must have felt when she tumbled down the rabbit hole. Lucien takes her safe, vanilla life away and plunges her head first into a huge dish of fantasy flavours. Rich, spicy chocolate covered with dark, oozingly lickable sauce? Check. Tutti-frutti with indecently red, glistening cherries on the top? Yes please.

Lucien strips away all of Sophie's inhibitions, and when he instructs her to select three new toys, she soon realises he has more than a game of Monopoly on his mind...

He's opened the door to a whole new pleasure packed world without limits, and Sophie is utterly intoxicated. But how far is she willing to go? And what happens when she has to step back into reality again?

Lucien & Sophie's is a story of star crossed love and forbidden passion, a sexual odyssey that spans the globe and changes both of their lives forever. Let it change yours, too.

BOOK REVIEW by Michelle:

You may as well just drop your panties at the door when you start this series.

It is a genuine PANTY DROPPER.

A toe curler.

OMG!

This is a hot, hot , hot read J

If you like Crossfire Series by Sylvia Day , The Blackstone Affair by Raine Miller, Inside Out Series by Lisa Renee Jones, Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James, Stark Trilogy by J. Kenner... then you will love Knight Trilogy by Kitty French.

Take a step to the right ladies cause Kitty French has joined your house. Kitty is on equal footing to these lady authors mentioned above.

I think ??? Kitty is still self published.

WT!!!

I can see publishers scrambling.

She has got it right with Lucien and Sophie.

Kitty brings it.

Take a step to the left Gideon, Ethan, Chris, Christian, Damien... and make room for Lucian Knight.

I even love Kitty’s author name. Kitty writes this book so, so, so well. It just flows .

You WILL need a fan on.

Very quickly into the book Kitty had me under Lucien’s spell. He is written incredibly well. He starts off playful with hidden innuendo, but it quickly escalates to ...* there go the panties *.

He leaned back in his chair with a frank expression on his face. “I don’t think this job is for you.” He shrugged. “You’re too vanilla.”

“Vanilla?” She couldn’t keep the note of frustration from her voice. “What does that even mean?”

He shook his head with a small laugh. “Exactly.”

“No.” His thumbs massaged her hipbones. “I kissed you because, even though you’re totally overdressed, you’re still the sexiest woman in the room.”

For me this was a fresh take on the gazillionaire erotic contemporary romance, recipe.

This I loved.

There is cheating in this book, but I give it the green light. It’s time for Sophie, our very, very lucky female lead to say enough is enough. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am not a fan of cheating characters at all. You will have to read this book to understand why I gave Sophie the green light.

Dan the dick was ...a dick.

Lucien had reminded me how it felt to be adored, and how much she’d missed it.

Sophie is a very likable female lead.

Lordy, the things that Lucien does to her.

* fans oneself*

What I loved is Lucien is dominant but he isn’t too much. He isn’t too controlling , but at the same time he gets to do what he set out to do to Sophie.

Holy panna cotta!!

Lucien is very generous. I had a fave part of the book with the Aurora lights. I felt that Lucien did something very out of character by bringing Sophie to his homeland.

“Is your life always like this?” she asked, after she’d loaded her plate. “Private jets, any woman you want, champagne on tap?”

Lucien studied her over the brim of his steaming coffee cup.

“Pretty much.”

He was utterly unapologetic, but then why wouldn’t he be? It was a dream lifestyle, and Google had reliably informed her that at thirty-one, Lucien Knight was the complete self-made man. His business acumen was much documented and lauded, even if his history before Knight Inc. was a blank page.

She didn’t pretend to understand what made Lucien tick. He might run a string of sex clubs and adult stores, but in his own way he was turning out to be just about the most moral man she’d ever met.

This is a highly seductive read with a highly seductive male lead.

It is a very 3D read.

But... is this just a game of seduction for Lucien?

Who are you, Lucien Knight?

However intimate they had been over the last few days, in any way that counted, the man sitting opposite her was a complete stranger.

He wasn’t a man given to romance, but the perfect weight of this woman in his arms and the majesty of the skies above them filled him with an unexpected sense of peace.

“You look miles away.”

His eyes were clouded with emotion when he refocused and looked down at her.

“No, I was right here, just on a different day.”

This is a story that cleverly captivated me. I couldn’t put it down. I literally read until 3.00am and I had to put it down as I had to get up early and be functioning.

I highly recommend this read for mature aged readers.

Well played Ms French.

Kara Brookes hates liars.
