REVIEW:

I really enjoyed reading Paranormalcy.  Kiersten has given us a set of fantastic characters to follow throughout the book (and to be enjoyed further in the sequel Supernaturally!).

Evie's ability sets her apart from others in the normal world.....hence why all paranormal groups would love to get their hands on her!  Being kept away from the everyday life as a teenager, Evie longs for "normal" - though it is quite humorous that her "normal" is based on what she sees in a TV show!!!  Yes... a school locker can be the coolest thing ever!!!  Evie doesn't know any different than what she is advised by IPCA authorities and her main minder Raquel.  When she learns the truth about her position within IPCA, life as she has known it for so long just doesn't make sense anymore. 

Lend is a very lovable character. You easily forget he is made of water and fall in love with who he really is, just like Evie does.  Though being able to change your appearance to absolutely anyone is a pretty awesome skill!! Lend's taunting of IPCA is great and the eluding to give them any information is skillful.

Reth, oh Reth!!!  He is just such damned naughty faerie......but there's just something there that I keep being drawn to.  It must be the whole bad boy thing!!  He is trying to do the right thing....sort of....as long as it benefits him!!  The attraction Evie has for him on a controlled by a psychotic faerie level is very easily felt by the reader.

If you been sitting on the fence with reading this one......pick it up and read it.  You won't be sorry.  OH, and I would love to have Evie's pink taser Tasey!!!  What a great accessory!!

BOOK REVIEW: 

This book was great!!! I  can really see it made into a movie and I think from Kiersten's blog page it is going to be made into a movie.

I got a bit of a 'Men in Black' feel with the IPCA = International Paranormal Containment Agency but that's as far as it goes.

Evie = Evelyn 16 years old works for IPCA bagging, tagging, tracking of Paranormals that need to be kept organised for humans safety. After all vampires wandering around with humans, is like dangling raw meat in front of a dog and telling them to behave and not touch. Evie uses 'tasey' her pink taser to stun and slap an ankle tracker on the paranormal she is assigned to. 

Reth is one of the faerie escorts that gets summoned to bring Evie safely along the faerie paths back to IPCA. If you know their name you can order them about, but be careful of your words...........

The guys are drool worthy . Lend is just a beautiful guy...sigh.
Reth = Lorethan , although gorgeous he is still a faerie and not to be trusted. Reth has you drooling over him, yet confused. Faeries have secrets...........

Alisha = Lish is Evie's bff, a mermaid. They have a love of a soapie, 'Easton Heights'. Lish must watch through her glass home. I love that Lish's computer doesn't let her swear it 'bleeps', so the bleeps were fun.

All hell starts to break loose when somebody/thing is killing Paranormals. Evie and her new friends must band together to help Evie understand why this is happening and how to stop it.

Evie just wants to go to high school, have a locker get her drivers license and go to prom...but IPCA and the Paranormal killer have other ideas.
