· Book #2: Pleasures Untold

· Book #3: Faythe Reclaimed

Author: Lisa Sanchez

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Synopsis

Eve of Samhain (Hanaford Park #1)

As a college senior and server at Hanaford Park's hottest nightclub, twenty-one year old Ryann Pierce's plan was simple: work hard, make lots of money, and avoid the ass-grabbers at all costs. What she never planned for was Quinn Donegan—the living, breathing advertisement for sinful behavior that waltzed into her life.

With an angelic face, a hard body and a butt-load of charm, Quinn had a way with the ladies—a lot of ladies. Cursed with a deadly, addictive touch, his trail of indiscretion blazed across five hundred years. Tired and jaded, Ryann is a shocking revelation Quinn didn't see coming.

Filled with desire, yet unable to touch one another, Ryann and Quinn embark on a daunting journey, battling frustrating physical limitations while exploring their new love. In a race against the clock, Ryann learns she must plead for Quinn's life before…the Eve of Samhain. Determined to end her lover's suffering, not even the danger dogging her every move can keep her from her mission.

Excerpt #1 – Eve of Samhain

“How much do you know about Irish mythology? Faeries, their queen?” He pursed his lips and waited for my response.

I shook my head. “Nothing. I don’t know a thing.”

“I see,” he said, and he sat back in his chair. “I suppose I should begin with a bit of history then. The Fae were an ancient race of beings that came from the great islands of the North. After being defeated in a series of battles with numerous otherworldly beings, as well as the ancestors of those who currently inhabit Ireland, the Fae retreated to the Isle of Apples, or Avalon, as you may have heard it referred to.”

My eyes narrowed in confusion. I’d never heard jack about the Fae, which I assumed were faeries. “Avalon? Like from the Arthurian legend?”

“Yes,” he said with a nod.

Huh … you learn something new every day. “So, uh … where’s that located?”

“Avalon? In the Otherworld, of course.”

I felt like smacking myself on the forehead. Oh, of course. The Otherworld. I should have known! I squelched my sarcasm and let him continue. “The Fae queen, Morgana, was eternally young and beautiful, and desired by many, including one young and foolish courtier. Exceedingly handsome and gifted with the ability to charm those around him, the young libertine ravished his way through Morgana’s female courtiers, wooing them into his bed one by one. Narcissistic in the extreme, the young faerie cared not for the feelings of the women he took advantage of, and he boasted openly about his conquests to all who would listen. “He was, in fact, so sure of himself, the vainglorious idiot attempted to beguile the beautiful queen, claiming she would be his greatest conquest. Upon hearing his plan, the queen became enraged, cursing the young faerie. For five hundred years he would walk the earth, seducing women, a slave to their passion, driving them to insanity with lust and the illusion of love. His touch brought about a euphoric reaction to the women he courted, filling them with desire and longing.” He stared at his hands as he spoke, as though they were the spawn of the devil, and hastily placed them in his lap, out of his line of sight.

Hot and dizzy, I inhaled sharply, unaware I’d been holding my breath. I stared at Quinn, willing him with my eyes to continue, as my breath came in shallow pants.

“Nothing he did was real; it was all an illusion. Every touch, a lie. Never would he know true love or passion, as every woman he came across fell prey to the magic of the curse.” He paused for a moment and stared off into space as if he were remembering the story firsthand. Darkness flashed in his eyes. “For a time, he became angry, indifferent to the plight of the women. After ravishing them, he left, letting them pine away for his touch. There were a few women who became deadly, killing any other that dared to cross their unrequited love’s path.”

He stopped talking when he heard me gasp, and looked down, refusing to meet my eyes.

“What … what happened?” I asked, my voice barely registering above a whisper. His story was riveting.

“The faerie was unable to live with the destruction that lay in his wake. He discovered he had a few other talents that enabled him to strip the memories of those he seduced, saving them from their inevitable spiral into madness.”

“So he sleeps with his prey, and then erases their memories?” My hand shot up to my mouth.

“Yes,” Quinn replied quietly, his voice filled with shame. His head hung low, and he refused to meet my eyes as he spoke.

I reached out to him, wondering why he was so worked up over a work of fiction. “Quinn, it’s all right. It’s just a myth. Th—”

“No.” He shot up out of his seat, jaw clenched in anger. “It’s not all right. It’s torture.” His voice broke. His whole body shook, throwing off waves of anger, frustration, and sorrow. “To know every moment of your existence is a lie, a farce. To live each day knowing the women you touch will either have no memory of you when it’s all said and done, or suffer mindless insanity is pure, unadulterated agony!” He threw back his chair and stormed off, leaving me shocked and speechless.

My mind reeled. No way, Ryann. Don’t even go there. You like to reside in a little place called reality, where there are no such things as faeries.

His story was so compelling, though. The tale he wove seemed to meet all my unanswered questions about him. Not to mention, he spoke with such conviction, as though he lived it himself.

Could it be?

Pleasures Untold (Hanaford Park #2)

Hell hath no fury like a witch done wrong. Pissed off and packing an arsenal of witchy mojo, Martha is on the warpath. Determined to avenge the murder of her mother and grandmother, her mission is simple: kill every vampire, demon and underworld bastard she comes across, because one of those hell beasts might be the monster that stole her childhood from her. But when a sexy Latin vamp literally falls from the sky, saving her from becoming an undead Happy Meal, she has no choice but to reassess everything she thinks she knows.

Xan is an anomaly --a vampire born, not turned. A powerful warlock who walks in daylight, Xan spends his days, and nights, watching over Martha, protecting her from Lucian, the blood-sucking monstrosity whose sole mission in death is to drain her dry. Undeniable attraction and the promise of pleasures untold draw the two lovers into a frustrating dance of one step forward, two steps back. When Lucian throws down a deadly ultimatum, Martha is forced to choose between relying on her own mystical woo woo to save the lives of her stolen friends or succumbing to the lure of dark, voodoo magic. Xan and Martha must work together to save those closest to her and put an end to Lucian's reign of terror before it's too late.

Excerpt #2 – Pleasures Untold

Reaching into my bag, I pulled out Chuck and crept forward, my senses on high alert. I lifted my hand slowly toward the door and received a nasty shock that singed the tips of my fingers, causing me to howl in pain.

"Ow…crap!" The ward on the door was strong. Even stronger than the ones outside had been. This cemented my belief that Deanna was in the room.

"I wouldn't try that again if I were you."

I froze. My senses were magnified, on high alert. If a pin dropped on the opposite side of the club, I'd have heard it.

Adrenaline rushed through my veins. I hadn't heard anyone approach, which meant only one thing. There was a vampire or demon behind me.

Gripping Chuck tight in my hand, I whirled around and stabbed my silent enemy, driving the wooden stake deep into his…shoulder. Oh, God. No. No. No. I missed the chest area altogether. Not good. If I don't move fast, I'm a goner. I fought to hold onto the weapon as my arm trembled and shook. Using my body as leverage. I stepped back, preparing to yank the stake from its body by brute force.

A strong hand came to rest over mine that still gripped the end of the stake, and I looked up, gasping in shock. Him. I'd stabbed him. Holy Mary, Mother of…

"Wha…but…I…" The ability to form a coherent sentence left me as I stood open-mouthed in front of the handsome creature who had saved my life the week before. I was no expert with regard to etiquette, but was fairly certain it wasn't good form to repay the person who previously saved your life by stabbing them. With feet glued to the floor, I stared up at him in horror, waiting for him to end my life.

With a slight grimace, he tugged on my hand, which still held the stake, and slowly, pulled the offending piece of wood from his shoulder with a frown. "Your aim could use a little work, carino." He swiped Chuck across the leg of his pants, cleaning off the blood and handed me the weapon with a smirk.

Faythe Reclaimed (Hanaford Park #3)

Running through a strange forest with a bloodthirsty demon hot on her heels wasn't Taylor's idea of a rockin' evening. Then again, neither was soaring backward through time and space. Time travel chafed and left a rank, nasty aftertaste. So, when she finds herself floundering amidst a sea of Commandment-loving holy rollers who fling accusations of witchcraft and bedevilment like hotcakes in a diner, finding her way home jumps to the top of her to do list. Too bad she can't remember who she is or where she came from. And if that wasn't bad enough, Taylor has to fall for the mysterious Latin warlock living on the edge of Salem Village and who comes to her rescue, Gabriel Castillo. Battling an identity crisis and lost in a time that's not her own, Taylor is determined to find her way back to twenty-first century Hanaford Park. But first, she and Gabriel must work together to uncover the dark scourge lurking in Salem's shadows, and in doing so, save their own lives, and the lives of countless innocents from a lethal date with the hangman's noose.

Excerpt #3 – Faythe Reclaimed

A gust of wind whipped through the nearby window, a hint of pine floating on the cool breeze. The small room, the bed, time itself—fell away in fragmented layers, the heady scent of pine and rich spices triggering a vivid fantasy.

Rough bark cut through the layers of wool and cotton, the unforgiving surface chafing at the tender skin on my back. I twined my fingers through the thick layers of hair at the back of his neck and held him to me, his glorious lips a perfect balm to the nagging irritation at my back.

The scent of rich spices, fresh air and pine swirled around him like some kind of erotic love drug, luring me in. It was intoxicating. He was intoxicating, and the only thing I cared about at that moment.

Goosebumps spattered across my skin, my heart fluttering like a hummingbird's wings inside my ribs as he pulled his lips from my mouth, trailing soft, whisper-light kisses down my jaw.

He groaned, a deep masculine sound that sent my blood boiling and my nether regions screaming for attention. There wasn't an inch of skin covering my body that didn't ache for his touch, cry out for his kiss. He was a master in the art of sexual warfare, a damn guerilla fighter—lethal, proficient and fucking sexy as hell.

The buttons holding the top portion of my dress closed exploded from the annoying fabric keeping us apart, and it was all I could do to breathe, to keep my wits about me, when he laid siege to my chest with his mouth.

Strong, capable hands tugged at the layers of fabric covering my legs, the hideous skirt and unwanted barrier between my ready and willing girlie bits and the salvation that was him. Warm, rough fingers grasped both sides of my ass, lifting me off the ground. My legs snaked around his waist, and I cried out in exquisite relief as he ground his swollen cock against my aching core. Oh, God. I was so ready. I wanted him. No! I needed him…like air. Without him I'd asphyxiate, I'd cease to live…I'd die. I sucked in a ragged breath. "Please, Gabriel…"

AUTHOR INTERVIEW: LISA SANCHEZ

PLEASURES UNTOLD
by
LISA SANCHEZ
BLOG TOUR

Hi Everyone.....
What a jam packed event we have for you all.  We have the pleasure of sharing with you our reviews of Pleasures Untold by Lisa Sanchez ...... an interview with Lisa Sanchez...... and courtesy of Omnific Publishing 2 sets of  ebook giveaways of Eve of Samhain plus Pleasures Untold , the first 2 books in The Hanaford Park Series.
So without further ramblings...... we would like to present to you all our interview with author Lisa Sanchez..........

Hey, girls! Thanks so much for participating in my blog tour! Here are the answers to the questions you sent me. Take care! Mwah!

Michelle's questions:
1. I had such a great time reading 'Pleasures Untold'. You brought a bit of everything to this book.  I loved the fun, witty,  smexi dialogue and the twists and POW's ( They are the scenes where you didn't even see it coming).  I think most readers/writers have a recipe of ingredients they like to read in a book.  Can you tell us what your writing recipe is?

Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed Martha and Xan! I truly had a blast writing their story. As far as my own personal writing recipe? Hmmm...well, that's a great question. My stories tend to have very obsessive villains. They fixate on the heroine, stalk her or her loved ones and leave a path of death and destruction in their wake. My leading ladies all tend to have insecurities (appearance, self confidence issues) but rise to the occasion and show strength regardless of those faults. And well...my heroes, heh heh...they've all got pasts they're trying to overcome. I can't help it, I love me a wounded man. Drool!

2. The 3 , "Girlpower"  characters, Martha, Taylor and Jess, I really enjoyed their close friendship, I 'felt' , the love. Will you bring the "Girlpower" over into any of the other books in , 'The Hanaford Park ' , series?

The relationship between a girl/woman and her close friends is a special bond. Often times these close friendships will outlast a relationship with a significant other. I wanted to portray a tight friendship between the roomies, and I'm so glad it came across on the page! Yes, I hope to continue to show the bond between the girls throughout the books.  When all is said and done, guy or no guy, those girls have each other's backs!

3. Something I noticed with your writing is you have a lot of fun with it. You use slang, quick wit, sarcasm very well, you had me laughing alot. I enjoy your uber smexi dialogue , but, have you ever thought of writing a YA series as your snappy/punchy wit is very relatable to that age bracket?.

*Blushes* I'm so glad you enjoy my style of writing. My abundant use of slang can take some getting used to, I'm sure! To answer your question, YES! I've had an idea for a YA story swimming about in my head for a while now. It involves cheerleaders (surprise, surprise!) and will most likely be paranormal. Once I wrap up book three, I'll start jotting my ideas down onto paper. I'm a panster by nature, so while I have the gist of what will happen, most of it will come as I write.

4. I love the magic of J K Rowling, Cassandra Clare and of course Karen Marie Moning ( who is a Goddess). Can you name 5 authors you enjoy reading. ( In no particular order)

You bet!  J.R Ward, Karen Marie Moning, Diana Gabaldon, Kerralyn Sparks, Sherrilyn Kenyon. Those ladies are the bomb diggety!

5. I think as busy mums we all have to slide reading time in, somewhere. For me it is often at nighttime until the wee hours.  J K Rowling influenced me , got me reading, then Stephenie Meyer got me back on track years later, once all the kidlets had popped out. What author/book was your greatest influence in getting you reading?

Wow! My greatest influence? Hmmm...I've got three, so I'll share them all! I've always enjoyed reading (it's my escape) however, there was a short period when I was first married and my oldest was just a wee babe, where I didn't have the time to read. Once my baby got a little older and didn't rely on me for everything, I hopped online and did a search on Amazon. I knew I liked time travel romance (Jude Deveraux's Knight in Shining Armor is a fav) so I did a search and found Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. Holy smokes! I was hooked from the first page. James Fraser became my favorite hero, and I went on to read that series over, and over and over again. What can I say? I've got a thing for Scottish hotties in kilts :)  A few years ago my bestie, called me up on the phone and told me about this hot new YA series she'd just read and couldn't stop thinking about. I had no idea while listening to her talk about Twilight and Edward Cullen, that I'd fall as hard as I did when I read the books myself. I fell in love with Edward right along with Bella and was swept away by their story. Craving all things vampire at that point, I hopped onto Amazon again and did another search for vampire romance novels and found J.R. Ward. While I love the Outlander series and the Twilight Saga, I think the Black Dagger Brotherhood books tip the scales for me as far as which series is my favorite. Lord, I can't help myself! Those brothers are hot, and so well written. The Warden is amazing and I'm in complete awe of her.

6. When preparing to write a book are you the storyboard type of writer who writes out slips of paper and moves it around your board to get it how you want or a ' Red Bull",  type of writer who will write and write and write and let it pour out, then edit and edit and edit afterwards or do you have another preparation skill?

I'm a panster. I know who my main characters are (names, appearance etc.) and the three main events that take place in the story. Everything else comes to me as I write. It's a very organic process. I've found sticky notes are helpful, though, to help me remember important details. It's no fun scrolling back fifty pages to see what eye color you've given your secondary character.

Marissa's questions:

7.  Was there a scene you enjoyed writing or just really liked, that had to be cut?  i.e. any great outtakes?? We obviously don't want you to give the storyline away... so maybe a direction in the story that you didnt up going with?

That's a great question! Originally, there was a prologue including Martha's thoughts about a certain event (I'm not saying anything as it will spoil the book!) and then she addressed the reader. While it showcased her voice, I ended up taking it out as it wasn't essential to the story.

8.  Other than Taylor and Gabriel, were there other characters that you introduced us to that will show up in their own book for The Hanaford Park Series or possibly another series?

Taylor and Gabriel are the only new characters that will have a book of their own. So far, at least! My original goal, which I've been sticking with, is to have a book for each of the four girlfriends. You've seen Ryann, and now Martha. Taylor will have book three, and Jessica book four. Book three is very different from the first two setting wise, so we won't see many recurring characters. Darn it! I've just given you a spoiler! That's it! I'm zipping my lips now!

9.  Carrying on from the previous question......... We interviewed you after the release of your first Hanaford Park book "Eve of Samhain" (which is lurved!!). In the interview you mentioned you were doing four books in The Hanaford Park Series. As you bring a new sub-character into each book which then leads on to their own book - would you consider extending the Hanaford Park Series?

At this point I don't plan to write more than four books. Of course, things could change, but at the moment, my vision hasn't changed. Jessica's book will be the last. I've got some other stories floating around in my head that are dying to get out!

10. We all love to have a "next book" title to hang on to in great anticipation of its release!   For those that will no doubt read and love Pleasures Untold..... what is the title of book three?

Book three is tentatively title The Witching Hour.

11. I really love your book covers. Particularly, Pleasures Untold.  Can you tell us the process for choosing them and how much input you had?

Thank you! I'm in love with them myself! I can't take any credit for my covers. Their magnificence is all due to the wonderful people at Omnific. They've done a fabulous job of capturing the essence of the books with the right covers, and I couldn't be more pleased.

12.  You've shown us in your book trailer the model you have chosen that is your vision of Martha.......and well done on finding her!  If Pleasures Untold were to be made into a movie...... who would you choose that visually portrays your main characters from your mind to the screen?

Great question! And a toughie! So far, I haven't really found an actress who I think is the perfect Martha. I wrote a blog post about this a while back and featured a gal from 90210 because she had the right hair type. The more I think on it, if I had to choose an actress right now, I'd probably go with Lucy Hale. She portrays the character Aria on Pretty Little Liars (my oldest loves that show.) As far as Xan, I previously chose Taylor Kinney. No, he isn't Latin, but he's hot! After a bit of research, I did come across a Latin hottie who I wouldn't mind imagining as I read: Joe Manganiello. He's the shmexy boy from True Blood. I'd go with the clean shaven version of him. Hubba hubba!

Thanks so much Lisa for letting us into your world of The Hanaford Park series.  We are both really enjoying the series.

Thanks so much for interviewing me. I'm so glad you enjoyed the books! Mwah!

Cheers

REVIEW:

WOW!!  Thank you so much Lisa Sanchez for writing a fantastic book.  I really enjoyed Eve of Samhain...but I LURVED Pleasures Untold !!
The connection the three girls (Martha, Jessica & Taylor) have is wonderful and you can feel their closeness and understanding of each other throughout the book.
The chemistry that sizzles, sparks and kabooms between Xan and Martha totally rocked. I waited and read and waited and wanted and you delivered!!! The raw passion was well written and my eyes certainly enjoyed reading it. LOL!! (definately not YA but certainly not taudry and smutty as some books can get).

There was a lightness about the book that made it very easy to read and so entertaining. It was filled with a few very good POWs and few teary sad spots and of course some great smexiness!

My eyes shut at night and my mind begins it journey to find Xan!!  I want me one of those!  Without being too brooding and dark her is uber yum and a little cheeky on the side - just the way I like my man!! LOL!But without being too soppy and lovey dovey.

Martha is fantastic. It's hard not to mention too much without giving a whole lot of the plot away.....I just want to blurt it out!!! But Martha is a fantastic and formidable lead in Pleasures Untold.  We saw a darker glimpse of her in Eve of Samhain and the light has certainly shone on her in this book.  She's tough, tenacious and could do with a good.......hug!!

Taylor needs more than just a few hugs to get her through life at the moment and she is certainly going to have to find her strength in the next book!

Jessica is a lovely spirited character that is dealt with a huge blow. She is an honorable and loyal friend to both Martha and Taylor.

Lucian is just a down right nasty bugger.  Evil permeates from every pore his undead body has.

Gabriel, though still only a small side line character, will play a greater part in book 3.  We also glimpsed him ever so slightly in Eve of Samhain.  There is clearly a lot more to Gabriel and Lisa will certainly enlighten us in due course !

Eve of Samhain (book 1) was definately no YA novel.  Pleasures Untold, however still not YA, could easily be enjoyed by both YA and adult readers alike.  Change a few of the choice words and (God forbid) tone down the smexiness and this would be a hit across the board. Two very different writing styles from One talented author.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Pleasures Untold. I hope you all do to!

ENJOY!
MARISSA

BOOK REVIEW:

I had a great time reading , 'Pleasures Untold'. Lisa has such a vibe about her writing. I can tell Lisa had alot of fun writing this book it comes out in her playful, snappy wit that just seems to roll off her tongue as she writes. I found myself laughing from the first page at some of her dialogue.

CHARACTERS:

Xan : Latino smexi male lead...grrrrrrr!! ( Yes I just growled..lol)

Martha : 21yr old witch who slays Vampires and  has the most awesome dress style ( well I think so) .

Taylor : Martha and Jess's Australian bff . ( Yup!! We love an Aussie...hee..hee)

Jess : Martha and Taylors bff.

Lucian : Villian.

I enjoyed reading  Martha, Jess and Taylor's , "girlpower". They really rocked their friendship, looked out for each other, no matter the danger and I hope they pop up again in The Hanaford Park series.

I loved that Xan started off confident but he had deeper layers to his character and of course his uber smexiness:)

Although Martha has her own secrets, she says it like it is and doesn't sit back to wait for somebody else to clean up the mess. She is a kick butt kind of gal who will jump in to defend those she loves.

I do love a good Twist and POW and Lisa did a wonderful job of POWing me . I like a story that isn't predictable. One or two things I did work out, but they were out numbered by the twists to the story and POW's that I got in return. There was one in particular that I loved!!

This is NOT a YA book as it has its fill of uber uber smexi scenes , so all you younger chickens will have to wait a bit.

FAVE QUOTES:

If I’d caught my man with his pickle in someone else’s jar, I wouldn’t be going out on the town.

“For someone who looks like a bush pig, I wouldn’t be so quick to insult other people. Now rack off.”

.....I looked away as a shockwave of desire ping-ponged around my chest and zapped a straight line down to my hoo-hah.
