Australian debut author, River Savage has landed with a splash on the Indie author circuit.
More like she dive bombed it.
I have read my fair share of MC genre and what I really liked about River’s debut story was, she made it a little different to the fairly normal recipe of a MC read. She put her own stamp on the genre.
Knight’s Rebels is a clean motorcycle club. No illegal shiz is going down anymore, thanks to Phoenix Knight.
River didn’t go on about the whores that you find in a lot of MC reads.
Incandescent has it’s gritty moments, but it’s not relying on them to make these lads look fearsome. They don't swear at their women, they aren't cheating, I think the women can handle their own.
They are a strong group of lads who each have their own distinct personalities.
Phoenix aka Nix is the thirty seven year old father of Z. He is the President of the Knight’s Rebels and he is a dirty talker. What I liked about Nix is his honesty with his emotions.
“I thought I did. I tried hard to, but I soon learnt it’s not meant to be hard. You either love them or don’t. There ain’t no learnin’.” I nod, agreeing with that statement.
I’m thirty-seven years old. Three years ago, no way would I be saying this, but Kadence is different, and I’m a man who knows what he wants, and by God, I want this woman. This perfectly scarred woman, who pushes my buttons and argues over every damn thing, I wouldn’t want her any other way.
Enter Kadence, the prim school teacher by day and tigeress around Nix. She is a little mouthy and doesn’t like to do as she is told.
Jesse, I adore him. There is just something about him and his unapologetic man-whoring ways. But then in the next breath , he is totally there being the big brother type role for Kadence.
“Hello, sweetheart.” He moves in close and I have to laugh. I think these men have it bad for themselves, but Jesse takes the cake. The guy is the modern-day Casanova.
Sy, is Sy. He is a little gruff. I can’t wait to read Affliction. Sy and ? book. I won’t say the name, incase you don’t know who.
“Fuck me,” Sy grunts out under his breath.
Visually I saw this story very well in my head. For a debut author, River did an awesome job.
One quote that stuck with me.
...everything is going to be okay, just not today.”
I highly recommend Incandescent for a biker book, with a difference. I look forward to reading Affliction and getting to know Sy.

I don't read a lot of books like that I confess but I love your review and maybe I should try more to see if it's for me.
