The noise between Patch and Nora is gone. They've overcome the secrets riddled in Patch's dark past...bridged two irreconcilable worlds...faced heart-wrenching tests of betrayal, loyalty and trust...and all for a love that will transcend the boundary between heaven and earth. Armed with nothing but their absolute faith in one another, Patch and Nora enter a desperate fight to stop a villain who holds the power to shatter everything they've worked for—and their love—forever.
BOOK REVIEW:
I enjoyed Silence and am hanging for book 4. I can NEVER get enough Patch. I would have liked more Patch and Nora together in Silence. I am just greedy like that. I can’t overly complain as I did get some smexi, Jev.
Speaking of smexi Jev/Patch, here is the quote that I just went.......*sigh*.....
“Since we are keeping it primal, you smell good,” he observed.
He moved closer, making me acutely aware of his size, the rise and fall of his chest, the warm burn of his skin on mine. Electricity tingled along my scalp, and I shuddered with pleasure.
“It’s called a shower.....,”I began automatically, then trailed off. My memory snagged, taken aback by a compelling and forceful sense of familiarity. “Soap, shampoo, hot water,” I added, almost as an afterthought.
“Naked. I know the drill,”Jev said, something unreadable passing over his eyes.
(I just loved that throw back to Hush, Hush, page 63 of hardback.)
One of my fave scenes in this book is at Bloody Mary’s nightclub.
“Keep it up , and I’ll put you in the chaps.”
( I just had to slip another quote in.)
Bless Jev/Patch when he goes all ‘Hush, Hush’ book # 1, Patch on me, I just go, ‘that’s my boy’, the one who stole my heart in ‘Hush, Hush’.
We are back in Coldwater, Maine for this instalment. I would like to see Becca take us away from Maine. Quite frankly I really am beginning to wonder who Nora can really, truly, rely on, to be honest with her. I understand Patch did what he did in this book for love, but, mum and Vee..... seriously guys. I understand Hank and his mind mojo, but ......I just don't think there is anything really keeping Nora anchored to Maine.
Mum’s character really does come across like there isn’t a strong bond between them. What I mean is, Patch and Nora don’t let anything for very long get between them, they have the bond and it’s strong and they break through what is holding them back.
Poor ol mum’s character just needs a bit of a slap from me as I don’t understand her sometimes. I understand that Hank has put the Jedi Mind tricks on her, but she is her mother!
Vee, well sometimes it’s the mind mojo and sometimes it’s just simply Vee, being this odd type of bff that I don’t totally understand.
Scott, well didn’t he come out to play and be all guy friend and cheeky. I actually want more Scott as we got to know him better and he can hold his own in this series. I didn’t think much of his character in Crescendo, but Silence, he brought the goods. I get him now.
I think I would have liked to have been in Nora's head when she was captive . I think that would have been a great angle to the book.
The covers are just gorgeous in this series and I am really looking forward to seeing what gets done for the 4th book as they really are the most gorgeous covers. I have to admit I was wondering based on Silence’s cover, where the whole Nora in Patch’s arms down at the ocean image, came into play in the story. I kept waiting for it. Maybe I missed it or it was just a pic? I found all the other covers to actually mean something to the story within. Just an observation, no biggie.
All in all, I did enjoy this 3rd instalment and am looking forward to some hot Patch in book four and some smexi scenes with Patch from Hush, Hush. Silence was a very G rated book, and there is nothing wrong with that, but I did enjoy the way Becca pushed it a little in Hush, Hush. I hope she pushes it a little in the final instalment .
Patch + that wardrobe of nice clothes he had hidden from us + motorcycle and yup!! definitely getting warmer, oh and throw in those chaps.....Ha!

OK, I wanted Silence before, bit now I NEEd it. Thank you for my Patch fix :D
ReplyDeleteI still haven't read Hush Hush. I have a copy, but I didn't even remember that until I saw it on my shelf. I should get to it soon...
ReplyDeleteI hate that we have to wait for book 4 and that it ends there! Cimmaron and I loved how Nora steeled herself from her Dad and how Patch just found a loophole to seek her out and "guard" her. I feel bad for all the mind control the Mom went through though.
ReplyDelete@sarah ...ha! I do love a Patch fix:D
ReplyDelete@ Mrs Q ... Hush, Hush + Patch = happy me:D
@ Braine ... Mum gets a bad rap each book I think, with or without mind mojo. Book 4 can't come quick enough, I hope it's not the last....?
MIchelle
Can I just add that I ALSO hope the next book is the last? I hoped THIS was the last. Was kind of annoyed when I found out it wasn't. I was really looking forward to an HEA.
ReplyDeleteCool review. I'm not familiar with this series but I hear good things.
ReplyDelete'Keep it up and I'll put you in the chaps!'
Might have to remember that line. :)
@sarah...um what does HEA mean? Sorry I am being daft here.
ReplyDelete@mjhearle great quote isn't it:D
Michelle
Oh ..um...is that Happy Ever After..or am I being daft again??
ReplyDeleteMichelle
Oh dear, I'm sorry! Yep, Happily Ever After.
ReplyDeleteI think I picked it up from Charlaine Harris' forums. Everyone talks about Sookie's 'HEA', as in, who she ends up with, and how she lives happily ever after, seeing it's the last book.
I want to see Nora and Patch's Happily Ever After, and see them ride off into the sunset already!
HA!!..Thanks!! I was sitting here going...hmmm HEA what does that mean.. running all things through my head, I was amusing myself with some thoughts I came up with..hee..hee... yes!! HEA on that motorbike:D
ReplyDeleteMichelle
Mwaha! I'm sorry! But now I'm getting so many hilarious ideas myself, I'm trying not to giggle at work XD
ReplyDeleteI was quite amusing myself, before I told myself to suck it up and just ask....ha!
ReplyDeleteI'm down with the HEA now:D plus a whole pile of fun other variations...
