Synopsis

Once upon a time two lawyers fell in love across a courtroom …

Gabrielle Ginsberg was a public defender with plenty of nerve and Braden Pierce was an assistant district attorney with a whole lot of swagger.

Gabrielle wanted Braden and Braden wanted Gabrielle. And Cameron wanted Gabrielle. And Marla wanted Braden. And Cole wanted Gabrielle. And Mrs. Mason wanted Braden.

And an anonymous letter writer wanted to keep Gabrielle and Braden apart.

Together Gabrielle and Braden discovered many important things, like which doors at the courthouse actually locked, and that desks could be useful for more than writing. They also found out that the path of love was not always smooth, and it was sometimes trod upon by some really wacky people, like a confused fanny grabber, an eighty-two year old pothead and a gentleman who threw a wine and cheese party in his pants.

Could true love overcome a lack of privacy, interference by jealous rivals and the insanity of the criminal court system?

NOTICE: This book contains explicit descriptions of sexual situations and mature language. It is intended for readers over the age of eighteen.

BOOK REVIEW by Michelle:

RATING: 3.75 HUMOROUS STARS & BRUNO!

This is a very light, humorous read that I would take with me down to the pool or somewhere I wanted to just chill out and have a bit of a laugh.

It has a to-be-continued style of ending leaving just enough to want to find out....

Gabrielle Ginsberg is a public defender and Braden Pierce is a prosecutor. They have been meeting up in the courtroom for around six months. There is an attraction but neither has made the move.

My job created a lot of tension and I needed an outlet. I had to find a sex partner that didn’t require batteries.

O’Malley’s , Tequila, beers and some nudging from her friends gets Gabrielle to play at flirting on a night out and between all the friends hanging about, a deal is struck for some dates, in true lawyer fine print.

No one on one, this is a bar of friends all involved in these two getting together for a date or two.

Jessica Albright is Gabrielle’s flat mate and she isn’t opposed to pushing Gabrielle into Braden’s arms. The girl needs a nudge.

Between amusing the Judge and barely contained hormones these two quickly become an item.

I was already too aroused to be nervous anymore, so I freed my inner hussy.

Time to meet the parents and I got a good laugh out of Braden’s younger brother, Drew. He is rather cheeky and doesn’t mind embarrassing you.

Gabrielle’s family are quite the hoot or peanut gallery, depending on how you look at them. Bubbe is straight forward and quite funny. She also has a dirty mind and a mouth like a sailor.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Braden! We were starting to wonder if maybe Gabby was gay, you know?” He chuckled. “Not that there is anything wrong with that.”

“Who’s the Viking?”

“This is my boyfriend, Braden, Bubbe.”

“Your boyfriend? We thought you were gay. Does he have a job?”

Then a mystery is thrown into the mix. Gabrielle hatches a bit of a mad cap plan which only a best friend would agree to, ha! I did shake my head a bit at this mad caper. LOL!

All I wanted was that she dress up like a dominatrix and spank a lecherous politician into writing down why he was a naughty boy. Was that really so much to ask?

And a dog. A guard dog. Now don’t under estimate a Chihuahua. They may be small but they can be fierce. My mum’s was and he looked like Bambi. In this case, Bruno is more likely to hump your leg and yip. Ha!

Jewish people, love that was inevitable, trash cans, hatched plans, Stan, the lovely Middle Eastern couple, can’t-wait-got-to-have-sex moments ( that would be the pool house) , funny family members a humping dog and a mystery all make up this story.

Oh, and sweaty monkey sex. What? I didn’t say it, Gabrielle did.

This is a light story which is to be taken like it is. It is a quick read which will give you a laugh.

To-be-continued.....

About the Author

Once upon a time ... N.M. Silber was a criminal defense attorney who got up each morning, donned her power suit and sensible pumps, downed a gallon of coffee and set out to "fight the good fight" while trying to not go insane. Having a dark sense of humor and a sarcastic wit helped -- a lot. Another thing that helped was reading. As escapism was the goal, she liked to read romance novels, especially really funny ones and really sexy ones. Then one day something beautiful happened -- she read one that was both funny and sexy at the same time. She hung up her power suit, put away her sensible pumps and moved her coffee mug to her computer. Now she writes funny and smutty romance novels herself and she lives happily ever after.
