I think everybody is going to say they loved Lily’s story more than Temptation’s Heat.

Lily and Kane are just adorable. I really dig Lily. I get her. There is a reason why she is such a homebody, a caring nurturing type character. I love how she has a spicy side to her. She is this quiet reserved sweetie pie and then.....

She couldn’t take her eyes off his big hands as they lifted the spoon tohis mouth. Couldn’t stop imagining the feel of his palms on her skin, his fingers entwined in her hair. When he took a drink of water, she wanted to lick the moisture from his lips, plunge her tongue into the cool depths of his mouth.

Big muscled Kane is a beautiful character, shy and unsure of himself around Lily, but a confident fighter in his world.

Ivan, I think he may be a misunderstood character at first glance.

Ivan nodded. “It’s pretty simple; Lily deserves to be happy. If you hurt her, I’ll kick your ass.”

And did you have this same little chat with Rowen Black when he started dating Scarlet?”

Ivan laughed. “I didn’t have to. Scarlet would kick Rowen’s ass herself if the situation called for it.”

Kane grinned. Maybe Ivan wasn’t such a dick after all.

This is again a small novella, smaller than Temptation’s Heat , but I got a smexi romance out of it.

I have read two novella’s in this series now and this one took me nowhere but a stake out in regards to the Shadowguard and Blackguard, good vs evil in the human world. It was predominantly Lily and Kane’s romance.

I did feel like this book kind of cut off at the end. I would have liked possibly tacked onto the end a bit of action, or some movement with the forces of good and evil. Mikhail came to his demise, I would have thought there could have been something there.

It seems at this stage everything is rather peaceful from the demonic side, and hell smexi from the boys. They are getting their kit off and lovin’ their women.

I have really enjoyed both the novella’s and can’t help being grabby grabby for a longer story. 

I feel like I am speed dating with these couples, yet it works .J
