RATING: 4.5 Annoyed, Angry, Frustrated at Aunt Val Stars!!!!

Book Blurb: Taken From Goodreads

It was supposed to be a fun day, shopping at the mall with her best friend. Then the panic attack started and Kaylee Cavanaugh finds herself screaming, unable to stop. Her secret fears are exposed and it's the worst day of her life.Until she wakes up in the psychiatric unit.

She tries to convince everyone she's fine--despite the shadows she sees forming around another patient and the urge to scream which comes burbling up again and again. Everyone thinks she's crazy. Everyone except Lydia, that is. Another patient with some special abilities....

BOOK REVIEW:

I felt very frustrated for Kaylee, reading this novella. I really enjoyed this novella as it made me feel more for her character than I probably have since reading the series. To wake up cuffed to a bed in the Mental Health Centre , scared and sore and confused.

Lydia is a little mystery, who is she? I figure not a Banshee. I am glad Kaylee had this girl who obviously understood her and helped her. More than her own family.

Aunt Val needed a good slap from me...karma is all I will say. As I read My Soul To Take before I read the prequel novella, it made me even more annoyed at Kaylee's aunt and uncle....really how dare they be so disloyal to family. How awful to be placed in a Psych Ward when they knew what was wrong with her. Her uncle really should have known better. I am still a little confused as to why he even let it happen, it's not like it was going to go away. Kaylee needed help from those she trusted who understood.

  1. yet another series I need to get my hands on. If this trend keeps on going, I'll need a suga daddy to finance my book splurges! Maybe Gandy needs a Tuesday girl?

  2. Ha!, honey if you can be Tuesday girl I will be girl Friday and I am a library girl for the most part these days as I have asked my lovely 65yr old friend to help me build some shelving as it is out of control my little bookcase. So hopefully that will be underway when I get my 3 kiddies back to school.

Oh I just read Reaper, Tod's Novella, see I knew I knew how to pick them, I was Team Tod before, but I am even more Team Tod now, review going up shortly.
