BOOK REVIEW:

There is a mother of a storm coming and the Authority has to sort out what they are going to do about it. Hold on to your hats it’s going to be a bumpy ride. This storm could make or break magic as they know it. The hunger for the ultimate Power, can really turn a person to the dark side.

Shamus Flynn, what can I say but I love his character even more after this book. We are left wondering all the time about Terric and Shamus. Is this a Vishous and Butch( Black Dagger Brotherhood) bromance thing or am I reading waaaayyyyy too much into this.

Shame is a solid guy with such a smart mouth, I think I have me a crush on him.

Zay is still this big hunk of gorgeous, always there for Allie, but now we see more, as he doesn’t like to give too much away about himself. The respect he garners amongst his peers. I think Allie is just starting to realise she isn’t just dating a stud who is awesome at all things magic.

Allie is coming into her own more, in this book. She has her warehouse , her safe place for the hounds. Anthony is getting a tough love talking to. Is he able to stay on the right side of the track?

Stone. Oh how I want me one of those. He just seems to know when Allie really needs a helping hand. His energiser batteries are running a bit low in this book, poor lovey.

Daniel is still working his mind mojo. He isn’t as verbal, but when he needs to steer Allie in a direction only he can show, he pops up. I swear Daniel is like a walking Google on everything Magic, what he doesn’t know and have already put into place isn’t worth knowing. I STILL can’t decide if he has Allie’s best interests and the whole him and Violet connection. Kevin is who I think Violet should be with. I want to read more about Violet and Kevin. We get a glimpse in this book.

There is a rather exciting action scene when the storm decides to hit. I was like biting my nails as I was trying to figure out where I was in all this. There was shit flying everywhere, figure of speech of course. I was like, who? , what? I was even ducking.

And then!!!!!...............

See now that is why I have to pick up Magic at the Gate , straight away and start turning those pages.

Another great read from Devon Monk. It’s all very exciting!
