Life for Nora couldn't be better; she has married the man of her dreams and loves living in the pristine land of Kailmeyra.
That is, until the darkness threatens her perfect world.
Now war is upon the land. She and Gavin must strengthen their clan and prepare to fight. But the enemy has an ally—one that not only wields power, but holds knowledge of the ancients' secrets. Secrets that could destroy creation itself.
As the darkness grows, doubt seeps in ... protectiveness hinders progress ... and the unthinkable comes to pass.
Bewildered and alone, Nora shoulders the responsibility of leading an entire race to war. As she struggles with decisions that seem impossible to make, she is haunted by one choice.
"No one has ever doubted that you would die for those you love. The question then becomes ... would you live?"

REVIEW:

Elizabeth Isaacs has again delivered an awe inspiring novel filled with raw emotion, passion and sense driven visualisation.

The Secrets of the Keeper (Kailmeyra #2) is a wonderful creation continuing the story of Nora and her new found life with her love Gavin in his world of Kailmeyra.

As a reader you will grow alongside Nora as she discovers her six thought lines, her ambition to connect with the people of Kailmerya and her constant and ever evolving love and understanding for Gavin.

I love the "human" and "earthly" qualities Nora retains as she learns how to be not just a princess, but a citizen of world she never knew existed. Her comments that leave locals bewildered by their meaning leave me quietly chuckling as I picture the looks of astonishment and at times misunderstanding by those of Kailmeyra.
We get to met a character that has become a favourite of mine, Rune. His gruff (and feathery!) exterior masking a loving creature. I'm not sure if I want him as a pet or a sidekick!

True to Elizabeth Isaacs' writing skill, I found myself at times emotionally exhausted from the overwhelming inclusion of every possible emotion one could fathom....and that's not a bad thing!  The storyline was fairly even paced throughout with a nice progression forward - it never felt too rushed or waning in its movement.

A normal review barely does justice....these books are certainly something that my mere words could never describe successfully - Elizabeth's writing is something that can only be read first hand to understand and appreciate their magnitude.......plus I don't do spoilers and I would be just itching to tell more than I should if I keep going!!!!

ENJOY!
