Description from Goodreads:
Claire Danvers's college town may be run by vampires but a truce between the living and the dead made things relatively safe. For a while. Now people are turning up dead, a psycho is stalking her, and an ancient bloodsucker has proposed private mentoring. To what end, Claire will find out. And it's giving night school a whole new meaning.

REVIEW:

Well this series just keeps getting better and better !!

Claire has pledged her allegiance with the Founder Amelie.  Is this is a good thing?? Read the book and ye shall find out!!  She is faced with more and more obstacles and dilemmas as the pages are turned. More than the usual trials and tribulations of a "nearly" 17 year old girl.  Things hot up with Shane - but will he be the rogue lad of his reputation and give Claire what she thinks she wants? Could she be making a huge mistake? Or will he be honorable?

Michael has chosen his only possible option of survival - but at what cost?  Eve and Claire have come to terms with his decision to be a vampire but Shane is having a hard time of it.  This is a big hurdle that all in the Glass House must learn to overcome or risk losing their bond forever.

In this book we are introduced to Myrnin.....a very old, wise, knowledge and completely insane vampire.  He is aligned with Amelie and she has commanded that Claire be tutored by Myrnin in the art of alchemy.  Hmmmm..... somethings not quite right with this picture......Myrnin is the crazy Jekyll and Hyde of the vampire world which can only mean trouble for poor Claire. As if she hasn't got enough to deal with just by living in Morganville and now being Amelie's personal pet!

But wait.....Monica now wants to be bff's with Claire! Well we know that can't be for real!!

We learn a lot more about our characters' backgrounds in this installment.

Poor Eve gets to add further torment to her life when her very dangerous and troubled brother Jason Rosser is let out of jail.....and is on the hunt for Eve!

In Midnight Alley, the introduction of Myrnin is just fantastic. He has become by far, my favourite character.  There is sooo much to him and you can tell that Rachel Caine would have had a heap of fun writing his character into the storyline. He is so unpredictable that anything can happen....especially when you don't need it to!!! But just whose side is he really on?

And yes......we are left on a cliff hanger with the introduction of a new player.....one that I think will shake Morganville to it's foundations.

ENJOY!
MARISSA
