FORBIDDEN TEMPTATIONS
Serena Kelley is an archaeologist and treasure hunter-and a woman with a secret. Since she was seven, she's been the keeper of a powerful charm that grants her health and immortality . . . as long as she stays a virgin. But Serena isn't all that innocent. And when a dangerously handsome stranger brings her to the brink of ecstasy, she wonders if she's finally met the one man she cannot resist.
FATAL DESIRES
Wraith is a Seminus demon with a death wish. But when an old enemy poisons him, he must find Serena and persuade her to give him the only known antidote in the universe-her charm. Yet, as she begins to surrender to his seductions and Wraith senses the cure is within his grasp, he realizes a horrible truth: He's falling for the woman whose life he must take in order to save his own.
BOOK REVIEW by Michelle:
Addicted. Much.
Yes, I am quite addicted to this series and I imagine I will get it all up to date, including Lords Of Deliverance, by the end of this year.
Wraith. What do I say about you that hasn’t already been said? You got quite a character makeover in this installment, you got a conscience. He is hella smexi.
Serena is a great character that compliments Wraith. She is fierce, selfless and focused.
Wraith, the most damaged out of the brothers, ( we won’t count Roag, he’s a baddie and doing baddie dead time in the depths of demon world), really connected with me in Passion Unleashed.
He got his HEA.
Nawwww.
I do love Shade and Eidolon, they are really there for Wraith. They do try to steer him in a certain direction, well they are demons, but Wraith came into his own.
Byzamoth is our villain of this story and he has set his sights on Serena, the Marked Sentinel.

She hooked a finger under the collar of his T-shirt and tugged playfully. ‘Bad boys.’
“Oh, yeah?” His voice was low and rough, and he liked it. “What about you? Do you like bad boys?”
“There’s definitely appeal.” she breathed.
“Good.” He bent and clipped her earlobe with his teeth. The scent of her desire filled the air, and his nostrils flared, taking it in. “Because they don’t come badder than me.”

Kynan. I do love his character. Gem is also a fave of mine. I just love her look, too.
Lore is a great character that we get a nice handful of in this book. I’m looking forward to more of him.
Reaver!! Love this fallen angel. We get a lot more of Reaver which I totally dug. I can’t wait to get to his book, down the track.
I have to be honest and say I thought this book got off to a slow start for a reasonable amount of the story, then once I got to a certain mark it really took off.

Whooooossshhh!
I can see even more now how Lords Of Deliverance series will come about. We got a healthy dose of thwarting evil that tried to bring on a war and the downfall of human existence.
What I really liked about this installment, was I got a bit anxious how something was going to play out. It was a catch 22 situation. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t.
That played out very well, giving me that nervous, anxious part of the book.
Larissa has upped the stakes and some characters have got new roles, opening up the story line.
One thing that had me going back looking to see if I had missed a novella or got my books out of order. Runa and Shade had their babies. I got a bit of story whiplash. I gather Larissa didn't want to focus on that part of the story and I assume the time lapse fitted in with Wraith's story.

I had a good look at the Demon Compendium that was at the end of this book. I loved reading , ‘The Reckoning’, this was a very short look at how the brother’s met Wraith.
In a way it would have made a great back story in this book , inserted into the storyline. It would have speeded up the front part of this book. I seriously wanted to read more. The visual of poor Wraith, and what his vampire family did to him was very well written.
I really sympathized with Wraith having read it.
I am looking forward to reading Eternity Embraces # 3.5, which I have on my Kindle and then onto Ecstasy Unveiled # 4.
I also enjoyed reading a little snippet over on Larissa’s web page about Wraith and Serena. I couldn’t read the others just yet until I read more in this series.

No idea what's happening here, I wish I have time to get caught up with this series though, I did enjoy LoD so I'm sure this one would be just as great if not better.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried any books by her but we even have her series in French,I really should try because I heard great things about her.
ReplyDeleteThis series seems to have one heck of a great cast of characters. I've not read Ione but I'll be checking out this series.
