Desperate to prove this, Samantha seeks the friendship of a Preacher, two Cowgirls and a Cowboy. Together they are hired by the mysterious Englishman, Spencer Drake, to travel by steam train up into the mountains in the search of gold. But it’s on this journey that Samantha discovers vampires are very real and far more dangerous than she had ever imagined.

To stay alive, Samantha needs to figure out why things have gone so terribly wrong for her – but more importantly why she is out of time.

BOOK REVIEW by Michelle :

Tim O’Rourke has ventured into the adult genre with a spectacular entrance. Cowgirls & Vampires is a whole lot of brain gymnastics and fun, not to mention some awesome new characters for us to get to know and enjoy. All I am going to say is chapter 23!!!! I do blush!

The Preacher, is actor Sam Elliott in my mind . Sam instantly came to mind. The Preacher is going to win a few hearts, there is something most attractive about a man with a white handle bar moustache and deep voice. Think Sam’s character in ‘The Big Lebowski’. Not same colour hair , and The Preacher is around 40yrs old. But , you get my idea, once you read the book.

Harrison Turner aka Harry....oooo the girls are going to love Harry. I have affectionately called him dirty Harry:D Harry, 25yrs old , sandy blonde hair and a bit of a scruff, he is one broody cowboy that gets my heart-a-flutter, he is also a bit of a naughty lad.

*coughchapter23cough*

You may want to turn on a fan before reading this chapter ,it is smokin’.

Our gun totting, cigarette smoking, blonde, gorgeous heroine, is Samantha Carter, aka Sammy. All sorts of things will come to light with her character and some things will stay in the dark. Bring on book 2! I can’t say anything too much as it will spoil.

Louise Pearson, the lucky chicken who won a competition Tim was holding to have her name in this book. She gets quite a big role and one I am sure she will laugh at. Go Louise!

Zoe Edgar, 18years old and a real sweetie. I think she may be slightly crushing on Harry??? Join the queue sister!

( Wee Zach, Tim's son, we still need to discuss who is intercepting my bribery candy, you aren’t picking my name...hehe!!)

Within the first four chapters Tim has the reader on a ride and also starting the brain gymnastics. Once you start you won’t stop reading, you can’t. He has many surprises and twists waiting to pop out at you.

When you think you have it worked, like this smarty pants ..... well.............?

This book truly has the Tim Factor stamped all over it.

I am Team Harry but I have a big ol’soft spot for the Preacher. Harry and Sammy share some wonderful banter that had me laughing out loud.

Seriously Harry, please don’t hold back on what you think...lol!!

Team Potter and Team Harry, two great guy characters of Tim’s, but very different. I think Potter , even he would blush at what Harry says and does.

The action scenes were awesome. The smexi scenes will........ and the characters you will want to keep coming back for more. The bad guys are real bad!! Tim’s version of vampires, ‘Vrykolakas’, the red bandana wearing villains are not your pretty sparkly variety. The mystery will keep you guessing, and Harry...well, Harry ...... * waggles eyebrows*............... I’ll let you find that out for yourself.

Yehaaaaaa!!!!! Ridem’ Cowboy!!

( No pun intended...well..maybe.....)

FAVE QUOTES:

I glanced across the fire and could see a half-smile tugging at the corners of Harry’s lips. Arsehole, I thought to myself. The good-looking ones always were.

With his mouth turned down, and fixing me with his grey eyes as I stared vacantly up at him, he shook his head and said, “If your brains were dynamite, there wouldn’t be enough to blow your own nose with. Now c’mon.”

“Don’t they ever stop shagging?” I giggled aloud.

“Because if you don’t keep your eyes closed – if you look at me, then this becomes real,” he whispered. “It stops being a fantasy.”

He made a mumbling noise against me.
“ Say what?” I shouted. “Stop mumbling!”
“Get your tits outter my face!” he roared at me. “I can’t see a god-damn thing!”
