Goodreads Description:
When a strange boy tumbles down a river embankment and lands at her feet, seventeen-year-old adrenaline junkie Deznee Cross snatches the opportunity to piss off her father by bringing the mysterious hottie with ice blue eyes home.
Except there’s something off with Kale. He wears her shoes in the shower, is overly fascinated with things like DVDs and vases, and acts like she’ll turn to dust if he touches her. It’s not until Dez’s father shows up, wielding a gun and knowing more about Kale than he should, that Dez realizes there’s more to this boy—and her father’s “law firm”—than she realized.
Kale has been a prisoner of Denazen Corporation—an organization devoted to collecting “special” kids known as Sixes and using them as weapons—his entire life. And, oh yeah, his touch? It kills. The two team up with a group of rogue Sixes hellbent on taking down Denazen before they’re caught and her father discovers the biggest secret of all. A secret Dez has spent her life keeping safe.
A secret Kale will kill to protect.

REVIEW:
OK....so all x-men references aside - I really enjoyed TOUCH by Jus Accardo. It was an enjoyable read that kept me intrigued the whole way and second guessing the characters.
I just love Dez! She is a girl after my own teenage years!!! Not that I did stuff to get at my Dad (he was my hero) - just the thrill of getting out there and rebelling against stuff, proving I can do what I was told I couldn't! Oh the memories!!
Dez is a spunky badass rockin chick whose got IT and knows it! And knows how to use it as well! She's determined, loyal and very passionate. Her broken heart from Alex is on a slow mend and when she encounters Kale it's time to mend it and learn to trust.....but with an emotionless/tosser as a father, no mother and string of guys willing to be near her for just one thing - how does she know whats real and whats not?
Kale is a clean slate of emotions, feelings and worldly knowledge - having been imprisoned by Denazen his entire life, he knows nothing of the normal world that Dez lives in. He knows only pain and suffering....and thankfully the caring nature of Sue - a fellow Six imprisoned by Denazen. His skin is deadly to all, except Dez.
The connection between Kale and Dez is intense. Accardo has written the rawness of Kale feeling emotion for the first time very well - and very believable. His innocence and naivety to basic daily activities, words and emotions is very cute - and yet makes him so much more attractive !
Alex - hmmm - Dez's ex....the who guy broke her heart.....two timer double crossing snitch......so pick a side Alex and not just be an opportunist siding with whoever and whenever the deal suits. The guy has potential for sure.....but there's just nothing trustworthy as yet.
Marshall Cross - dead set evil mastermind dad of Dez. Wow! He is one piece of nasty and will take down his own daughter if he has to. There is clearly more to him than what we have been shown in Touch....a slight/slim/minute chance of some form of goodness is there...or maybe I am just hoping!!!
Now, why did I give Panda Stars???? There is a character introduced towards the end.....and the description of this person had me in hysterics......I have friend just like him (except for the x-men ability!) and his nickname is.....Panda!!!!
ENJOY!
MARISSA
