Main Characters:
Bianca Olivier : Student who's parents teach at Evernight Academy.
Lucas Ross: Student with amazing green eyes.
Balthazar More : Student and big muscley handsome guy.
Mrs Bethany: Head Mistress of Evernight Academy .
Vic : Student who is always up for altering the Evernight uniform code. ( just love Vic:)
Raquel Vargas : Awkward student who would rather not be noticed.
The first book in this series is centred around Evernight Academy and its students and goings on. The one thing I will say about the first book in the series is it is a little slow paced for about the first half of the book. Please do not put it down this series is sooo totally awesome. Each book gets better and characters grow. Claudia Gray is introducing the reader to characters and life at Evernight Academy. The one thing I love about Claudia's writing is she has so many twists and turns and POWS!!!!!! ( didn't see that coming...) I love a good POW in a book and Ms Gray doesn't hold back. You will know in this first book 'Evernight' when you get POWed for the first time as you will fall off your bed ( if you happen to be reading on your bed) then you will reread what you just read as you will be like WT!!! just happened. There are many more awesome POW's and twists which will appear within the series of books.
You will fall in love with Vic's character and just want to take him home . I love Vic. He isn't a lead character but he is just an awesome guy. Vic has great dialogue throughout the series.
I have always had my Team very firmly picked in this series , Lucas , but I just love Balthazar ( Balthy or Bathtub boy , pet name by some of us here in Australia) Balthazar is just one smexi guy, but.....
Lucas's character I can't go into but he is on my T-shirt. Maybe not the most popular choice but none the less he is my Team Captain in this series all will be revealed if you keep reading.
Bianca, you will have to forgive her character sometimes as she just doesn't know her life's path. I felt sorry for her sometimes as she just doesn't have all the answers. Lots of questions, but no answers.
I have some fave scenes in this book but can not reveal them. Claudia writes very clearly . Visually in my mind my fave scenes looked awesome. The emotion you will feel for certain characters, whether love or loathe will be intense. Claudia keeps moving the story forward over the series of books . Nothing stands still for too long. I read Evernight bk # 1, Stargazer bk #2, and Hourglass bk # 3, quite awhile ago and have just recapped to do reviews. I love that the titles are understandable to the storyline.
I had the opportunity to go to a book signing Claudia Gray was doing at Morayfield here in Queensland , Australia about 1 hr from my home but unfortunately due to my son needing an ear operation which just happened to be on that day I was unable to go:( So close yet so far....sigh...the closest an author has ever got to me. Would have been very 'cool'. I just have to laugh at how bad the timing was...lol!!!

For once , Vic was dressed normally---- at least, from the ankles up, because the red Chucks he had on his feet were definitely not part of the uniform. "He's kind of a moody guy anyway, but this is beyond moody. This is supermoody. Megamoody. X-treme moodiness." He made an X with his arms to spell out the last.
Vic nudged my elbow with his. "You and me are still friends, right? You guys get joint custody in the divorce. Generous visitation rights."
Vic sauntered toward us, thumbs beneath the lapels of the striped blazer he wore beneath his winter coat. " This style doesn't put itself together, you know. It takes effort to look this good." He then groaned as he looked longingly at Luca's tweed overcoat. "You tall guys get all the best stuff, man."
"Whoa, the rooms are going coed? That's made of awesome."
" Don't get too depressed , all right?" Vic gave me a little punch on the shoulder. "Some guys know what to say to girls when they are upset, but man, I'm not one of them. "
"You're never going to get away with wearing that to class," I said, pretending that everything was okay...... "They let you wear the Chucks, but I think a pith helmet is pushing it."
" I intend to wear it around Casa del Lucas y Victor." Vic placed the hat on his head to demonstrate. "For casual relaxation and study time. Whattaya think, Lucas?"
"Sure thing . Just hang your necktie on the doorknob if you get busy in here. Usually I'm all about the free porn, but-----"
