Johnnie 'John-boy' Donovan is the new VP of the Death Dwellers MC. While the club president, his cousin Christopher 'Outlaw' Caldwell, is on his honeymoon, Johnnie is left in charge. With Outlaw's return just a week away, he just wants things to run smoothly and without a hitch. But trouble is brewing for the Death Dwellers and an evil from his past may be back to haunt him.

Kendall Miller is an attorney and the ex-girlfriend to Spoon, the club President of The Torpedoes MC. She's in over way over her head and when her little sister is taken, Kendall needs to do whatever it takes to get the information on the Death Dwellers before it’s too late.

Can Johnnie trust the mysterious red haired woman who showed up naked to his cousin’s bachelor party? Can Kendall rely on the handsome blond biker that made a lasting impression on her mind, body, and heart to help her get her sister back?

Lives will be lost and hearts will be broken in the third book of The Death Dwellers MC series.

BOOK REVIEW :

I am really enjoying this MC series because Kathryn doesn’t pull any punches. She does write hardcore MC stories with men who aren’t playing at being in a club to make it easier on readers emotions.

These guys are gritty.

Johnnie I adored in the first two books, but Kathryn shows us a deeper side to him in Misunderstood.

He’s now VP and stepped up to the plate while Outlaw is away on his honeymoon and he just wants everything to be cool for the time his Prez is away.

It starts off well…but then…

Johnnie will show us he has secrets and a loyalty that will come into question. He has his heart issues he must sort out. Meggie he craves, but she is not his to crave. Kendall landed in his bed, but she is hiding her own secrets. Kendall has her own demons she must survive as well as saving her sister. Kendall f*cks up a fair bit, but she doesn’t mean to.

Kendall and Johnnie hit rocky patches. Can they overcome all the betrayal, violence and shit that goes down?

“Somewhere I read that you’re only destined a certain number of words for certain people who come into your life. Maybe ten to someone you just run across and will never see again. Ten thousand here. One thousand there. Words, Kendall, mean a lot. They can hurt like the sharp edge of a knife. They can make you cry or laugh. They can also empower you. But, maybe, we’re out of words…”

Can Johnnie keep a hold of the reigns and sort out the mess that has come forth while Outlaw is away?

He’s Johnnie... of course he can. Doesn't mean it's gonna be easy.

I really liked Mortician in this installment. He shows us a softer side when it comes to handling Kendall. Bravo Mortician, but in saying that, he’s got the handle, Mortician for a reason.

The one thing I have noticed with the female leads, you either like them or have strong opinions of them in this series. I speak only on behalf of the first 3 books I’ve read, thus far.

What I will say is it is a very addictive series and I enjoy the raw, gritty storytelling.

These boys talk the talk and walk the walk in this genre.
