RATING: 5 LICKABLE DEZ STARS!

Blurb: Goodreads

In a sizzling prequel novella to her new series THE DARK ELEMENTS, #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout draws readers into the extraordinary, irresistible world of Wardens and demons.

Dez wasn't just Jasmine's crush. A gargoyle Warden like Jas, he helped her come to terms with her destiny—fending off demons and maintaining balance between good and evil. He was her everything...right until the moment he disappeared without a trace. It didn't help that Jas's father had just announced that she and Dez would one day be mated. Hard not to take that personally.

And now he's back, three years older, ten times hotter, ready to pick up exactly where they left off. But Jas isn't taking that risk again. Dez has seven days to meet all her conditions and earn back her trust. Seven days filled with terrifying danger and sweet temptation. Seven days to win her heart—or shatter it all over again...

BOOK REVIEW by Michelle:

I loved this novella prequel read.

Loved it!

I am going to say, that I read it after White Hot Kiss # 1 in Dark Elements and I am glad I did, because there are some things in Bitter Sweet Love that I am glad I didn’t know about before reading White Hot Kiss. Just little things, but I think if I had known them it would have taken away from some of the Roth, Layla and Zayne stuff in White Hot Kiss, for me personally.

I do know this one was released first, but ... I am just glad I read them out of order.

Dez is such a gorgeous lad. I absolutely love him. I wonder what his longer version name is?

I can’t help thinking there has to be another novella read from Jasmine and Dez, once you know about White Hot Kiss. The end of this book seems a little sudden , like there could be more. That's what I think, anyway.

I would read about the space in time between these two books with these two characters.

I really like Jas, she has spunk.

I got to say when Dez kisses Jasmine...WOW!!!

His kisses are like sex.

I hear church choir singing, Hallelujah.

* fans one self *

This novella was essentially about two hearts reconnecting and Dez doing what he needed to do to win his love back.

I thought these two were romance on a stick. Very lickable.

Plus the odd demon or two pops up.

I think watching Zayne towards Layla in this book, has made me like Zayne even more. I was totally Team Roth in White Hot Kiss, because I think Jennifer gave me no choice, she left Zayne floating in and out.

But after reading this novella, I am like...gahhhh!! My heart is going to be crushed by one lad not making it into Layla’s HEA.

I am rather chomping at the bit for Stone Cold Touch.

A gorgeous prequel novella that will suck readers into Jennifer’s world of Wardens and Demons and a boy named Zayne and a boy named Roth.

She is sure to play with our hearts.

  1. wow it sounds really great! One day I'll really need to go back to this author! It's been years since I read one of her books. I'm glad to know this one is good, and I know it can be tricky with novella sometimes.
