Last night I took hubs and my daughter into Brisvegas = Brisbane to meet up with Jana Oliver at Mick O'Malley's Irish Pub. Jana has written one of my fave YA Urban Fantasy's, The Demon Trappers series.

We arrived, hubs got us a drink each. Jana for us Aussies, is pronounced as a J and not a Yana like I was calling her for the last couple years. But she will answer to both.

Jana showed me on her Ipad who she thinks Denver Beck looks like and I was mighty impressed. He was rather hot!

Team Beck ! The Demon Trappers Series - LOVE IT!

Aussie author Kylie Chan dropped in to say hello too. Jana ordered us all a big plate of nachos and we munched and chatted.

I got some information on Supa Nova as we are going for the first time to the Brisvegas one in November. By the sounds of it you need some cash going in with purchasing photos and signatures and swag etc.

Jana and Kylie are both at Perth Supa Nova June 28th - 30th 2013. You need to hunt out Jay Kristoff - Stormdancer he is the nearly 7ft guy that looks like Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters. You won't miss him.

Kylie Chan & Jana Oliver

Speaking of swag, Jana signed some for me to put up as giveaways , so I shall be doing that. So check out my review for Forgiven - The Demon Trappers # 3 coming shortly for the swag giveaways.

I did chuckle at the sippy cup and little demon in it.
You have to read the series.

I also took along some prints to get signed of various covers. I shall be putting some of them up in my Foretold review - The Demon Trappers # 4.

So you have to be on the look out for it soon. I am reading it now. I am gonna miss my Backwoods Boy. Last book in series * sad face*

I'll hold a couple giveaways over a couple of Jana's book reviews I do. This is just a sample of what I got signed. I also have some friends I am giving some to as well. Gotta look after the friends :)

Jana has been rather busy she has her book Tangled Souls out which I must read and also Briar Rose coming out which is stand alone.

Released : 26th May 2013
Nevermore Books
Wiccan Gavenia Kingsgrave’s psychic gift, the ability to talk to the dead, comes with strings attached. As a Shepherd, she escorts them into the hereafter, but not all the souls want to cross over, and some can be downright vicious. When her latest case involves a heart-breaking hit-and-run victim, Gavenia is stressed to the max. The last thing she needs is a no-nonsense private detective on her tail, even if he is a handsome Irishman.

Former homicide detective Douglas O’Fallon possesses his own psychic gift, one he’s denied for years. Hired by a wealthy client to prove that Gavenia’s a con artist, he is sceptical of the witch’s claims she can speak to the dead. If he finds her gift as genuine, then he will be forced to accept his own. When their two cases intersect, opposites attract. But will they be able to set their differences aside long enough to outwit their foes – both the living and the dead?

Releases : 12th September 2013
Pan Macmillan
A dark and sexy reimagining of the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale from the author of THE DEMON TRAPPERS.

For Briar Rose, life is anything but a fairy tale. She's stuck in a small town in deepest Georgia with parents who won't let her out of their sight, a bunch of small-minded, gossiping neighbours and an evil ex who's spreading nasty rumours about what she may or may not have done in the back of his car.

She's tired of it all, so when, on her sixteenth birthday, her parents tell her that she is cursed and will go to sleep for a hundred years when the clock strikes midnight, she's actually kind of glad to leave it all behind. She says her goodbyes, lies down, and closes her eyes . . . And then she wakes up. Cold, alone and in the middle of the darkest, most twisted fairy tale she could ever have dreamed of.

Now Briar must fight her way out of the story that has been created for her, but she can't do it alone. She never believed in handsome princes, but now she's met one her only chance is to put her life in his hands, or there will be no happy ever after and no waking up.

Kylie Chan also gave me some signed bookmarks to giveaway, which was real nice of her. So they will be up for giveaway too. Kylie gave me a novella of hers to read, Black Scales White Fur which you can find on SMASHWORDS. So once I have read it I shall put these up for a giveaway in the review posting.

So that was my night in Brisvegas with Jana Oliver and Kylie Chan stopping by. I enjoyed a couple of nice drinks and Jana and hubs had a nice pint of beer. Well, it was an Irish pub. I was very excited when I found out Jana was coming to Australia. I did a bit of squeeeeeeing! CJ her PA got a rather excited email when I found out. So Jana has to save some of those yummy Freddo Frogs and Caramello Koalas I gave her for CJ.

I don't think the Mars Bar cookies will make it back to USA, the useby date will be up on those by then.

Thank you Jana for making the trip to Brisbane and checking out a teeny bit of my state. I felt rather spesh to be meeting up with you as I didn't think we would ever meet in person. I can holler at you in cyberspace, but it is rather nice face to face.

Never say never.

Have fun girls at Supa Nova!
