Life can be cruel. People can be ruthless and evil. The world can be cold and uninviting. No one knows these things better than Josephine Geroux. By her own definition, she is a twenty-five year old “nobody with nothing,” and she is content to stay that way. Growing up an orphan has made her tough and indifferent to the people around her until she meets a strangely familiar man with a face that haunts her for reasons she can’t understand.

Despite the pain that will inevitably ensue, she makes it her mission to discover what parts of her tragic puzzle she is missing. On her journey to discovering why the she feels an alarming connection to an absolute stranger, her greatest fear is reawakening the demons and darkness from the past that will surely overtake her if she lets her guard down.

Little does Josephine know that the past should be the least of her worries. She is toying with a man who has already broken her heart once. She just doesn’t realize it.
Although she makes it a point to avoid interactions with others, Josephine’s life becomes entangled with the enigmatic stranger. Before she realizes it, she has given herself over to the one person who is close enough to wreck her.

BOOK REVIEW by Michelle:

J.L. Mac is an author to watch out for. At only twenty six years of age, the girl can write!

Booyaaah!

Throw her over your shoulder onto your TBR pile if you haven’t already.

Slam dunk !

Wreck Me was an awesome read. I fell in love with everything about it. I even loved that heart wrenching cliffhanger. Now I have to keep secrets so my review in no way will capture what I am really trying to say.

Not long to wait for book # 2 - Restore Me.

OMG! I thought I knew where the story was going, but then J.L. throws me an awesome twist, which stopped my heart.

Double thumbs up!

I can’t imagine ANYBODY not loving Jo aka Josephine and Damon Cole.

Jo is a bit of a dirty mouth young lady. She has had it tough for the greater part of her life, homeless, fending for herself due to a horrific accident. The Foster system was a nightmare for her. So she did it alone.

The kindness of the Captain aka her boss Sutton, set her on a new path. Jo and Captain have a unique friendship. A bond that neither will admit to. Sutton knows how to be around Jo.

“And who the hell are you?”

“Miss USA and you?”

“Captain America. Can I help you?”I couldn’t help but giggle under my breath.

“Fitting name. I want a job,” I state very matter of fact. He crosses his arms over his chest and looks at me like I have sprouted a second head right in front of his eyes.

“And why in the hell would I hire a bum?”

“I can tell you why. I love books....”

I dig the phone out and see that it’s Sutton. I swear the old fart is the only one who ever calls me. It’s a testament to how lacklustre my life really is. Was. Whatever.

A chance meeting with Damon, set her on another path.

OMG the smexi is sizzling like bacon on the barbie in this book. Damon is a beautiful soul who knows how to rock a girl’s kazbah.

Sure the dude is wealthy, but this book does not follow the much used recipe of adult/erotica contemporary romance, it gives us something extra.

I feel as if I am in some type of euphoric daze and I have to admit that I have never felt so lucky in my life. His generosity doesn’t feel like charity. It feels like something good and genuine and beautiful , and it’s mine as long as I take what he offers. I can’t refuse him. Not in any capacity.

“I can’t explain it. I saw you and everything came together for the first time in my life. It felt like breathing. You are the one who is out of my league. I don’t deserve you. Trust me.”

We get a girl who has such a unique voice, tough, strong , intelligent, crying isn’t an option .... until she has somebody show her love. She has a tough , no shit exterior. She uses guys for her own means. No relationships, they mean hurt, they mean loss.

She doesn’t trust easily.

Until..... Damon Cole.

“This is what couples do. They hold hands. Eat lunch together. You’ll get used to it.”

We also get Grams. Love the woman!

We get an ending that will slice your heart open and leave you waiting for book # 2. Gahhhhhh!! Literally gasping!

I highly recommend this book. It is rather sizzling on the smexi and the characters will connect with the reader from the first chapter.

Damon has his skeletons and he is just this perfect specimen of a man, but.....there will be heartache.

There are secrets.

Dear lordy the heartache.

Ten Tiny Breaths ( K.A. Tucker ) meets Crossfire series ?? ( Sylvia Day) , is my take on trying to give an idea of the style of this book.

Restore Me # 2

Navigating the world alone was all Josephine Geroux had ever known. Life altering tragedy struck early on for her. She learned the hard way to adapt and survive.

As a young girl she endured an admirable struggle through her youth. She managed to arrive at adulthood in one piece in spite of it all.

After such chaos, maintaining a life free of complications was a priority for her.
Everything changed when a man with amber eyes came through her door and claimed her heart. She fell hard in more than one way. The pull between Josephine and Damon seemed like fate bringing things full circle.

With another devastating loss looming Josephine has to fight to hold on to the very thing that brought her to her knees.

She finds herself faced with choosing between a promising future or clinging to a devastating past. But that’s not the most worrisome problem on her hands.

She must convince more than just herself to let the past stay in the past where it belongs. On her journey to find closure and resolution she does the exact opposite.

An old wound caused by a heinous act becomes exposed for what it is. The truth is catastrophic and Josephine is helpless to watch as the ruins of her fragile world endure more turmoil.

Can something conceived from tragedy and malice end well? Can something so completely poisoned conquer adversity? She is left to make a decision; accept the circumstances she finds herself in or fight with unwavering ferocity to restore what has been damaged.
