I'm pushing aside the memory of my nightmare,
pushing aside thoughts of Alex,
pushing aside thoughts of Hana and my old school,
push,
push,
push,
like Raven taught me to do.
The old life is dead.
But the old Lena is dead too.
I buried her.
I left her beyond a fence,
behind a wall of smoke and flame.
Lauren Oliver delivers an electrifying follow-up to her acclaimed New York Times bestseller, Delirium. This riveting, brilliant novel crackles with the fire of fierce defiance, forbidden romance, and the sparks of a revolution about to ignite.

BOOK REVIEW:
"It occurs to me, then, that people themselves are full of tunnels: winding, dark places and caverns; impossible to know all the places inside of them. Impossible even to imagine."  ( Lauren Oliver, Pandemonium)
Torturous

Heartache

Pain

Tense

Waiting to know....waiting to read...waiting, turning the pages and waiting....and waiting.....and then getting this massive slap that finally stops the waiting.... but then the waiting starts again.

Freakin’ awesome.
So intense
Suspenseful
Trust???
Strength
Determination
Escape

Survival
Heart just aches when reading.
I have one team and one team only.
That team is filled with pain.
In turn I am filled with pain.
Requiem 2013

  2. ARE YOU TEAM ALEX?! TELL ME YOU ARE! Okay, I absolutely fell in love with Julian, but... he's no Alex. And if I had to choose between the boys, there's really no question. I love how Lauren developed the budding romance between Julian and Lena. I loved uncovering Julian's story piece by piece, he really wormed into my heart. But it all comes back to: He's not Alex :(

And oh my gosh. THE ENDING. THE ENDING! *pulls at hair in frustration* WHY ISN'T REQUIEM HERE YET?! ALAHJEDFHLSFGJKSJDC.

This was such a beautiful novel. Lauren Oliver never fails to impress me. Le sigh. I can definitely see the impact Pandemonium has had on you too hahaha.

    1. Brodie, there has only ever been one Team for me. I wasn't overly connecting in my mind with Julian. As you said he 'wormed' his way in, but the whole time I was searching for my Team guy, the whole book I was searching........waiting.....AAggggGGhhhh!!!

Brodie, I seriously had to sit for a while staring at my computer as my brain would not wrap around what I could say in my review.

Momo over at Books Over Boys hinted to me that it was a torturous read...holy mother of pearl!!!!...waiting...searching...waiting....I think most of my brain wasn't functioning until I found what I was searching and waiting for ....
