When Claire Danvers learned that her college town was run by vampires, she did what any intelligent, self-preserving freshman would do: She applied for a transfer and stocked up on garlic. The transfer is no longer an option, but that garlic may come in handy.

Now Claire has pledged herself to Amelie, the most powerful vampire in town. The protection her contract secures does little to reassure those closest to Claire. All of a sudden, people are turning up dead, a stalker resurfaces from her past, and an ancient bloodsucker extends a chilling invitation for private lessons in his secluded home. To what end, Claire will soon discover---and it will give a terrifying new meaning to night school.

BOOK REVIEW:

I have just finished ‘Midnight Alley’, that was a great read, lots of excitement and twists in the storyline.

I’m starting to get a clearer picture of where 7+ more books could be taking me. Claire has a lot of growing up to do in this book and not a lot of choices. Amelie has made it very clear where Claire’s allegiance lies. I’m not sure how that is going to all pan out for Claire, she has got herself in a rather deep hole with Amelie.

Enter, new character Myrnin. I kept calling him Merlin in my head, not sure why I had that annoying habit every time I read his name. Myrnin is an interesting character, very Jekyll and Hyde . I quite looked forward to reading about his character , he made me ‘feel’ for the vampires.

Oooo!! The plot thickens, there is treachery , danger , secrets and lots of hot kisses .

Oh dear Claire , what are you getting yourself into. She just keeps getting that shovel out and digging that hole deeper.

Michael and Shane have to sort their friendship out. I was surprised at first by Shane’s reaction but then I thought about it and it made sense. I did ‘feel’, for Michael as it was not an easy path he chose. Let’s face it when you are halfway there but can only go forward, what would you do?

Oliver has me scratching my head, he one minute wants to harm, next minute he is the hero. I have my eye on Oliver, what’s his deal?

Poor Eve , her psycho brother Jason, he just keeps popping up and it doesn’t bode well for the campus girls when Jason is around, or is he misunderstood? I know he needs a bath .

Have the humans of Morganville had enough of being preyed upon?

I loved the title, ‘Midnight Alley’, it represents the story well.

Poor Claire at the tender age of nearly 17, has a lot on her plate, secrets she must keep from those she loves or risk being snuffed out by Amelie. It feels like she has the weight of Morganville on her shoulders.

And now!!!!........................well you will have to pick up ‘Feast Of Fools ‘, to read what Claire is confronted with, can’t wait to see how she handles this...lol!!! ( not that it’s funny)

Time to crack open ‘Feast Of Fools’, as I just gotta know......
