Asshole is too good a word for him. It’s bad enough that he stopped talking to her brother, who was his best friend since preschool. It’s even worse that he went wild and got involved with criminal types. But the worst thing of all is the way he trapped her on this ridiculous road trip.
That’s what it is. Ridiculous. It just isn’t normal for a girl to get dragged from Virginia to South Dakota in a stolen car with just $1000 in cash. With Ethan Moore, who is way too hot and way too infuriating to be tolerated. But she’s stuck with him on a trip that is taking way longer than it should, sharing cheap hotel rooms, destroying cars, and eluding bad guys.
Yep. There are bad guys chasing them. Even worse guys than Ethan, and that’s saying a lot.
Plus, she’s having trouble keeping her hands off Ethan. In fact, she’s falling for him hard—when she isn’t wanting to wring his neck.
So, for two crazy weeks, her pride, her heart, and her life are all threatened. Ashley isn’t sure which she’ll lose first.
BOOK REVIEW by Michelle:
This is my first Noelle Adams read and it was quite the trip.
A very quirky read where Noelle throws everything at her two main characters. Ashley is a pre-med major and Ethan a moonshine runner, I assume I would call him that.
Thinks get off to a start pretty quickly with Ashley finding herself tangled up in Ethan’s drama.
Let the road tripping begin.
Noelle threw everything from, exploding vehicles, dream punching, worst luck with vehicles on the planet, old ladies happy to assist, cute guy villain, bladder control, blisters, hired guns, 20 car pile up, T-Rex, ANTS! at the characters.
“And you don’t have to act all superior-bladder on me. I seem to recall stopping a couple times for you to go.”
“We’ll just have to find another car to steal.”
It was evidently the largest traffic jam in the history of the city.
“Bad men!” the girl screamed, pointing at Cute Guy, who was approaching with a menacing glare.
And some orgasms.
Ethan’s body was shaking with suppressed laughter as he pressed kisses into her neck. “If it looks like it’s going to get stuck,” he murmured against the pulse in her throat. “I’ll retreat immediately.”
This is a very, very light read, shenanigans abound at every turn.
She’d known things were serious, known there was danger. But the whole trip was so comically absurd and implausible that the reality of the situation had always been pushed into the back of her mind.
I didn’t feel like the best major, Noelle could have given Ashley was pre-med as I felt she was a bit silly and a bit bimbettie.
A little uncertain about how to begin, she straddled his middle and lifted up, but hesitated before the final step.
It wasn’t as easy as it looked ( WT!!) What if she missed? What if she lowered the wrong part of herself on top of him? What if she actually hurt him?
She poised her body over his erection, but then hissed, “Help me, Ethan. I’ve never done this before.”
I didn’t overly connect with these two characters, but it was a light read, that wasn’t very deep.
The sex scenes had a lot of talking. LIKE A LOT!!
I’m all for dirty talk, but this was something else.
“Coming,” she cried, feeling like the whole world was about to explode. “Coming, Ethan.”
“Good,” he muttered. “Come, honey. Come.”
So she did. Choking his name.
LOL!!
I would admit, there was for me personally, some cheesy dialogue, but in a way it suited this mad cap road trip and its two characters.
A light read with hired guns, and shenanigans that abound. I am in two minds with this one. A bit of a silly, fun read.

Well dome good things and some a little less good... But like you say it it's perfect for a light read even if you didn't really connect a lot with the characters.
ReplyDeleteIt is a light read, as I was reading I thought , around the pool, type read :D
DeleteMichelle, this sounds uproariously FUN! Maybe the perfect vacation read?!? Thanks for sharing this. I haven't read Ms. Adams yet but I just might have to check her out! (I'll let you know how my bladder holds up! ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is a vacation type read, Brandee. The things that go on in this book....bahahahaa. Sometimes I rolled my eyes at the non stop shenanigans, but that is how this book is deliberately written. Ah yes the bladder control :P
