"We met in a nightmare. The in-between world where time had no power over reason. We fell in love. We fell hard.
But then we woke up. And it was over . . ."
RUIN & RULE
She is a woman divided. Her past, present, and future are as twisted as the lies she's lived for the past eight years. Desperate to get the truth, she must turn to the one man who may also be her greatest enemy . . .
He is the president of Pure Corruption MC. A heartless biker and retribution-deliverer. He accepts no rules, obeys no one, and lives only to reap revenge on those who wronged him. And now he has stolen her, body and soul.
Can a woman plagued by mystery fall in love with the man who refuses to face the truth? And can a man drenched in darkness forgo his quest for vengeance-and finally find redemption?
BOOK REVIEW by Michelle:
My life—past, present, and future—lost all purpose
the second I stared into his soul.
Yes!
Yes!
YES!
On so many levels.
The thing with Pepper is she is brave and clever with her writing.
She writes characters that are NOT going to do the normal reaction to a situation. This is why she stands apart.
The female lead will behave differently to the majority of ladies in her same position.
Pepper WILL take you on an escapism.
She will go against the grain.
This is why I always pick up a Pepper read.
She does things to her characters where sometimes I am going GOOD LAWD!! But I keep coming back for more.
I must have a dark side in me that lives vicariously through Pepper and other dark romance writers.
She wrote this book with the most beautiful poetic lines. Sometimes I just had to reread them out loud to my husband.
This is an MC book but there was such beauty in her writing.
Night sky. Moonshine. Stars above.
Anchors of a world I knew, but no recognition of the dark shrouded industrial estate where blood gleamed silver-black and corpses clotted the field.
Recognition flickered, love smoldered, and a heartbreaking sorrow only those who have loved and lost can know etched his eyes.
His bloody and bruised hand opened and closed by his thighs, violence wisping around him like an aura.
However, I’d woken up in hell with no reflex fear of the devil.
I have a gazillion quotes marked, I could write so many down, but I will save them for you to read.
You can see the passion Pepper has for writing, she really digs deep inside to weave words together and bring a large novel. I can see how much she lives for writing, from her words.
I could go on about the characters and sure Kill could have given up some of the goss earlier, but this makes for page turning, we want to find out.
We simply need to know.
Oh I just have to give one more quote because my notes and page numbers are lined up begging me to write another down.
He’d captured my wrist and four of us stormed to the garage and its awaiting steeds. Instead of velveteen horses and lances, the knights defending my honor climbed aboard their trusty Triumphs and cocked their guns, ready for battle.
Hell. Yeah!
Miss Pepper, take a bow.
Farken A, top notch reading.
Totally recommend.
