Isn't this a gorgeous cover. I have loved this series for years. I wish my life away waiting for this final installment in The Mortal Instruments.
I have put so many readers onto this series, and not one has been disappointed. Cassandra has such brilliant characters and story.
Because I am uber excited about the final installment in one of my fave YA series I shall giveaway one bookplate that is signed by Cassandra herself. I attended a signing in Melbourne a couple years ago and she graciously signed some things for me for the blog.
Please note, the image shows three signed bookplates, I have several left and I shall choose one, not necessarily what is showing in the image. It could have any of the past four book covers in the background.

DeleteThe cover is absolutely gorgeous. I read book one of this series and enjoyed it, but four years ago my oldest took them to college and well..she adored them and apparently I am not getting them back..LOL
ReplyDeleteYou have to nab yourself some more as they are AWESOME YA reads. My nearly 17 yr old son asked to read City Of Bones the other day and he is nearly finished it. I was quite surprised he asked me. He doesn't normally read books. :)

Nara she came to Melbourne in May 2011. I flew from QLD to see her. I told her in advance I was coming and explained about blog giveaways and she happily signed for me. We picked up the stuff from her hotel when she was ready. :D

I'm not sure I have a favorite character. I mean, while I was reading the books it was quite easy to identify which characters were the least appealing, but not the other way around -that's just how it worked for me! :P-. However, I guess that if I had to choose one it would be Clary as she had a strong personality.

The character that grabbed my attention is obviously... Jonathan Christopher or famously known as Sebastian. His story made my heart weep. Sebastian is just a poor misguided soul. If he wasn't raised that way, if only those experiments weren't done to him, I think he would be not who he is now. But every story needs a good old fashioned villain right? Sebastian may not be the sugar of TMI but he evidently is the spice. :)
