Have you ever gone just a little too far?

Lexie Banks has.

Yep. She just had mind-blowing sex with her stepbrother. In her defense, she was on the rebound, and it’s more of a my-dad-happened-to-marry-a-woman-with-a-super-hot-son situation. But still, he’s been her best friend and confidant for the better part of the last few years … and is so off limits. It’s a good thing she’s leaving in two days for a year abroad in Rome.

But even thousands of miles away, Lexie can’t seem to escape trouble. Raised Catholic, she goes to confession in hopes of alleviating some of her guilt … and maybe not burning in hell. Instead, she stumbles out of the confessional and right into Alessandro Moretti, a young and very easy-on-the-eyes deacon … only eight months away from becoming a priest. Lexie and Alessandro grow closer, and when Alessandro’s signals start changing despite his vow of celibacy, she doesn’t know what to think. She’s torn between falling in love with the man she shouldn’t want and the man she can’t have. And she isn’t sure how she can live with herself either way.

"Sinfully sexy, but utterly unique. My favorite New Adult book of the year!"
--CORA CARMACK, New York Times bestselling author of LOSING IT

“More than a ridiculously sexy, HOT read, Desrochers takes you on a wild ride of self-discovery and bittersweet romance.”
— JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT, #1 New York Times bestselling author of WAIT FOR YOU

“This is forbidden love and longing done absolutely right! Complicated and sexy doesn't even begin to cover Lexie's journey.”
--JAY CROWNOVER, New York Times bestselling author of RULE

BOOK REVIEW by Michelle:

Lead us not into temptation...

This is a review where I can’t give ANY spoilers as it ruins the book. So this has me sit here staring at the computer, thinking about my words carefully.

* stares at computer *

Lisa has delivered a funny, thought provoking read.

Lexie is a twenty year old art student who has the chance to study in Rome.

What an opportunity!

Her ever loving step brother Trent and Lexie are very, very close. They can talk about anything. They know each other very well. Trent is there to pick up the pieces when her 3 year relationship with the douche bag unravels.

These two cross the line into heated passion just before Lexie takes off for Rome.

What just happened?

Lead us not into temptation...

Lexie is rather hilarious when she arrives in Rome and decides to go to confession.

Poor Father Reynolds. LOL!

Lexie’s confessionals are very , very funny.

What is a Father to do but send Lexie on her way with some Hail Mary’s and a meeting with Reverend Moretti.

Dear lord, they don’t build too many Reverend’s like Reverend Moretti. He is a beautiful character.

As if he weren’t already too tempting, he looks like someone sprinkled sugar on him to make him just that much more tasty.

I felt like Lisa took me on an arm chair tour with all the places and art. I thought this was a particularly great part about this book.

I was in Italy when I was eighteen and I went into the Vatican, but I didn’t appreciate it at the time. I have walked around the ruins of Pompeii. I related to certain things in this story.

Some humorous moments with those sculptures they liked to sculpt back then with the pee pee’s showing.

Lexie’s character is very kind and quite spontaneous in her actions and words. I really liked watching her being guided by Reverend Moretti. He is a good listener...

I will be honest and say that I felt a bit like I was missing something from Trent’s character. We spend a short part of the book with Trent, and the most part away in Rome. I felt like I had walked into Trent’s character. I got told that he and Lexie had a close friendship prior to ...da...da...daaaaaa!!!! But, I think I wanted possibly more time at the start of the book feeling that closeness, before the impact of what happened between them before Lexie left for Rome. I want to say more about this, but I shall zip it.

I really liked all the characters in this book even the nosey one. LOL!

TSK!

Even, the downstairs stalker.

HA! with a touch of Ewwwww.

This is a story that had me both laughing, and a little sad at the same time... and a little tempted.

A story about difficult choices.

A smexi story.

I am REALLY looking forward to A Little Too Much.
